  1. Thought it was used far more than that given how iconic it was....still prefer the denim nipple ripper myself

Difference is Chelsea flog these kids for vast amounts every season without them getting into the team...all the Arsenal guys you mention played a fair few games before being shifted, or staying in Saka's case and they certainly aren't being churned out as regularly as Chelsea or City kids. With investment we would essentially have free reign on every kid from Southern Scotland down to York/Leeds (barring the odd makem boro nut) if ours was good enough...nearly a third of the country. Yes most of it is mountains and moors but it's not like we're short on kids who want to be footballers....my boy plays under 10s and was on a waiting list for a year, even with 15 suitable groups within a 10 min drive. And no...being from London does not automatically make a kid better at football. There's just more of them with better choices at the moment

There was a moment in the Arsenal match when pressured by 2/3 players he obviously saw one coming, just did a little drag back and pause which opened space for a pass...and had them all wondering what just happened to us there?

Same catchment as Arsenal and Tottenham, but don't see them churning out several 20/30m players every year who barely got to to the first team squad let alone playing time. 20 years of unrestricted spending will let that happen I guess though

😄 did genuinely think at the time he'd be a total flop, but happily shown wrong. On the downside it shows how far ahead Chelseas academy is on almost everyone, and why they'll never get any sort of psr punishment

Have that saved or did you actually go back 9 months looking for it? Yes i was wrong.
  7. But, but, but...we're considerably richer than yoaou.
  8. And as usual it's how did Tottenham lose...
  9. Could it be that it's possible that Murphy has actually improved since his dire run of form?
  10. It's std...a none cartel club has a good player, he should be somewhere else. I'd be very surprised if any other club could afford him without some massive financial chicanery
  11. I'd pay more attention to pundits if they could actually name a club that would able to afford him, rather than just piping out he needs to move to Arsenal. Why them? IF he wanted to go he could have the pick of any club in the world
  12. There literally isn't a club in the world who could afford him now. Barring him going on strike to force a move somewhere...what are the options? Arsenal...why bother they can't afford him and we're as likely to win trophies as they are Liverpool....not till Salahs milked them of his last big deal Chelsea....ran out of hotels Man U...pmsl PSG...decent players have figured out that playing in France is more or less pointless Bayern...probably could afford the wages, but not exactly known for paying for top talent unless it comes from Dortmund Juventus/Inter/Milan....simply don't have the funds
  13. Auto corrects version of Tevez
  14. Exactly...first time in my life I've seen their squad and thought that there's literally not one player to be actually terribly concerned about. They're almost at the point where even suspect decisions and homer refs can't even help them. Long may it continue
  15. Could be that they simply don't have the best players anymore? Where's the Cantona, Where's the Keane or Scholes Where's the Ferdinand and Vidic Where's the Van Persie or Van Nistelrooy Where's the Beckham and Giggs. That's before even considering the likes of Rooney, Never, Ronaldo. It's been a long while coming but they have been left behind
  16. Sky sports is not allowed to show football coverage if one of the '6' loses....wish I was being ironic there
  17. Give him all the time in the world....on form...in any other season they would be genuinely close to a relegation battle, if Ipswich and Southampton hadnt nailed two of them already they could be realistic contenders for the last spot with Leicester. Kind of like how Dalglish ballsed up 97/98
