Well if either true we've pulled in nearly 70m for a hugely average midfielder and a kid who who's never played for us. That's a good deal even by Chelsea standards of dodgieness
-
Long may it continue. It's about time we started using these loophole things
-
35m for Anderson....wouldn't just bite their hand off, would take the arm shoulder and a good portion of the rib cage. (Do not smoke in here) That's an obscene amount for player who hasn't shown to be any better than a consistent 6/7 out of 10 and never been good enough to be a consistent starter despite coming to an age where he can't be considered a promising youngster anymore. Yes he is still young, but at 22 he should be playing a lot more if he is good enough. If we can get 35m for a player of that standard then we won't have any problem abiding by the rules
-
In no way shape or form has Anderson proved he's good enough for us. Never good enough to nail starting position without extreme amount of injuries, and never looked great when called on. Never done anything wrong, but I can't recall him ever having any sort of impact on a game
-
Maybe cos we're finally realising some of the 'talent'we bring through really isn't going to the best thing since Messi?
-
No big loss. Never seen anything special from Anderson to suggest he's anything more than a 6/7 out of 10 player. If anything he's like a less effective Longstaff.
-
Long and short is that flogging a player that's never played for us for 5 times what we paid is good business on paper no matter how he turns out. This balls could all be sorted out by one simple rule change...all transfers to be paid up front and in full. Then there's none of this amortisation crap, no being able to sell a player 10m to be able to fund 50m in transfers. And no more "undisclosed" fees. Then it's open, honest and ultimately fair

This whole pSr/FMV thing is totally turning football in to Game of Thrones....where its all sly political manoeuvres to grasp power. We're so clearly Winterfell, Man U and Big Jim is Tywin, Boehly Littlefinger etc

Fight fight fight

The press don't actually know. We don't know. Other clubs don't know. Staveley, Ruben's and Al Rummyan probably do, and they are probably the only ones that actually do...if that's even the case at all and we aren't just selling an asset of unknown true value to fund a whole load of summer fun
-
This financial expert has as much clue as you or me. The club knows the true financial situation and no-one else actually does. Given that we've been managed remarkably responsibly in terms of sticking to "the rules"...either we have a sale lined up or were not actually in danger or breaching this psr bull

If I could get paid enough in a month to set me for life I'd be signing for Chelsea too
-
BetMGM advertise quite a lot....Chris Rock read their adds
-
I thought it was..."If they're all us we can't lose"
-
Well let's rewind the clock to 2008, none of the old 5 would say a peep about money, and then the Man City came...now you're all so terrified of the Nufc that you have to have your meetings in daylight so the Magpie can't get you. It's simple....we kill the Magpie
-
More the point that even before these stupid rules, it's always been the way that there's a certain group of clubs that always win their leagues no matter which league or rules it is
-
Not necessarily. Barring the odd upset most leagues only have a couple of teams that can or do win their domestic leagues. Scotland...Rangers or Celtic without fail Spain...R.Madrid or Barcelona with Atletico occasionally interfering France...closed shop for PSG barring a massive balls up Germany...as France barring Bayern having a shocker Italys got a bit of variety now, but it's hard to get past Juventus or one of the Milans Portugal has a few at the minute, but still the same candidates..Benfica, Porto, SP Lisbon Netherlands...barring that one off Alkmaar season a while back it's always been Ajax, PSV or Feyenoord
-
This fmv stuff is garbage. If i recall basic economics in any way shape or form, the market is shaped by what people are willing to pay and how much demand there is for a certain product or service not what someone might have paid you in the past. I used to pay £15 a month for electric, so in my view that's fair market value. Oddly my electric company disagrees. I should go to to the ombudsman and get them to change the rules

I long for the days in the mid 90s where journalists just made up rumours cos they had no idea how much money anyone had and had to create stories to sell papers. Thinking back on that statement...sounds just like now just with numbers. Remember before the transfer windows and we were linked with Baggio and/or Del Piero every other week because Alan Oliver was too pissed to do any work and had to rely on whatever Hall and Shepherd said he could write
-
Although that would be another good one.... In JRs snivelly whiny voice..I have a dream...where the rules don't apply to me, where children from everybackground can hold hands and adore Man U, where no one has to fear being called a glory hunter despite being from Surrey and loving us. I can do this all night lol
-
I'm just happier that none of the inevitable smart arses on here thought I meant Martin Luther King
-
Can see him walking Martin Luther style and nailing to the PL doors the new rules. The UK tax payer must pay for all Man U facilities Man U are allowed to have any player in the world for free if they want them Automatic qualification for Champions league regardless, because it's Man U Man U can set rules for others but don't have to abide by them...divine right No team is allowed to visit Old Trafford without agreeing to a -2 goal start As we are truly divine our word is gospel and must be adhered to unless it doesn't suit us It has been spoken. Actually Jim does have a slight resemblance to Kuill

Does anyone know what happened to Pinas? Looked half decent in that 97 tournament where Tomasson looked like the player he ended up being
