Nah, not worried let’s gauge things when the window closes. I’m sure the club is working hard to improve the team.
-
Is it? Or is it another FFP fudge ? Ultimately these silly rules are being gamed right left and centre by those clubs who actual want to compete.
-
Rather we address right wing first, yes we need to address right centre half but it’s something I’d do next season. At most I’d sign someone who can learn from Schar to develop.
-
No, it doesn’t make sense for either party.
-
We generally have too many centre backs, the quality is questionable no doubt and the injury’s in the medium term present challenges but come Christmas we will have more defenders than we know what to do with.

Even other clubs fans on Reddit where we are loathed were saying it was nonsense.
-
Schar will be out for 3 games max, it isn’t a big deal. People really run with these narratives it’s wild.
-
He’s injured (again) so we are stuck with him. That being said, we have to become better sellers our squad is so bloated.
-
I’m not overly sold on Guehi either tbh, I think the price is absurd. I do think your talking him down and massively talking Huijsen up though
-
I’m sure he does have potential but you can’t just say he has more potential than Guehi. I’m sure he’s talented and will turn out great but to draw any conclusions at this stage is a bit of reach.
-
I can see that, so we need to shift Jamal Lewis and Targett asap then. If not they are going to rot, you’d also want to shift Jamal and Emi in January as well.
-
Point being, if he was some insane prospect either they would have kept him and he breaks through or he goes to a club with a high stature than Bournemouth.
-
But that’s what we have Kelly and Burn for. Either one of those is going to have a future as a left back or we have one too many left sided centre half’s. Next season the picture changes a lot because Emi, Jamal and fab are all out of contract.
-
Less potential? If so why did Juve send him packing to south coast giants Bournemouth?
-
Is Schar weakness? Moment of madness aside he’s been one of our best players since Eddie came in. Of course he lacks pace as is getting on but I think he’d be fine for this season.
-
I think your right from that standpoint, although when we went down to 10 i much rather have Tino who was excellent defensively imo.
-
I took that one with a pinch of salt tbh.
-
We don’t know this and I’d rather not assume. We know that plurality will be needed to go forward so we shouldn’t just say it’s x pushing.
-
It’s kinda of strange though, in that article from Waugh all of the alternatives also were PL based. Mitchell’s reputation at Monaco was based upon trimming the wage bill and bringing through talents so it’s quite surprising to me we are after such players. That’s of course unless we intend to ship out someone Schar maybe?
-
So do we reckon this gets done?
-
We weren’t great, that goes without saying. I can’t help take positivity from the result though, we lose this game last season imo.
-
I think it’s perfectly understandable to rue his sale, obviously he’s has the potential to solve a pretty big issue for us on the right flank. That being said, it’s important to understand we didn’t image much choice. It’s quite clear the market for players we actually want to sell doesn’t really exists so we were left stuck. I’m sure if we are being honest with ourselves, we haven’t bought many players that we’d rather not have in order to keep him right?
-
He’s clearly come on quite a bit and is trusted a lot more by Eddie than previously. If this was last season he would be hauled off as soon as Schar was sent off. overall not his best day but he will learn and become a better player as a result.
-
He’s a very good player imo.
