  1. He wouldn't be jacking football in he'd be coasting. He's been an elite athletic for a long time it must be incredibly draining and I'm surprised more instances of burnout don't occur. He's not winning the Premier league or the champions league and he isn't winning anything internationally. I think for a lot of players football is just a job tbh. Oh and he's a massive spender
  2. He wouldn't be the first and won't be the last. Realisticly what is he going to achieve in his career on a sporting level? Might as well make enough for many generations of Rashfords.
  3. Yeah I hear you, I think things have fundamentally shifted for players 20_30 years ago you needed to be successful as a player to aquire wealth. Now you don't and you can make more money playing now than you can post career
  4. Or he can sit tight, run down his contract and go to Saudi and get mega money. He's good either way.
  5. Why is this random twitter account relevant?
  6. I don't think so, they know the rules are holding us back too.
  7. Yeah maybe I don't know the details of what Milan did or how they handled it. As you know UEFA are much easy to challenge legally if they get the wrong idea about punishments.
  8. They lose 600m euro over the last 3 years. They are one point had Messi Neymar and Mbappe on the books And that's before we talk about those juices sponsorships. Uefa are much more lenient on the punishment side.
  9. Our centre halfs lack mobility so if they switch off for a second they are cooked. It also highlights the oft complained about issue of our 3 midfielders all wanting go squeeze high without the defence line having the ability to step up. School boy stuff as you mentioned.
  10. He's unreal, literally has it all.

    Lewis Hall

He's unreal isn't he? He's come so far in such a short period. He's not the quickest but he's got a canny engine on him and technically he's obviously one of the best players we have.
  12. Get in cracking win that's more like it. Let's build on it and move forwards now.
  13. We played some really good football in the first half, really good to see. Let's just get a couple of more and bring home the 3 points.
  14. No, I'm telling people not to get their hopes up to avoid disappointment. It's a closed shop and we aren't in it. Furthermore the ladder has actively been pulled and only getting tightened. Unless something changes fundamentally our ceiling is challenging for CL every now and again when the big boys stumble.
  15. Please explain how we catch them. As in what do we do what steps do we take? I see this optimism a lot but I don't see how it's achieved.
  16. Let's see how our next accounts look but I expect we will lose some fire power either way. People will point to bringing the rules in with Uefa which is fine but our punishments which are published and are done on a case by case basis aren't in like with Uefas so any comparison is rendered pretty irrelevant and it's usually an arguement made in bad faith.
  17. AHH glad people are catching up to what I've been saying. Squad cost is GG for us. It's much more stringent than the current rules.

    Nick Pope

I wrote in the summer we should have moved him on not because he's bad but the age plus injury risk meant it was prudent to recoup and invest. Too bad we didn't and left ourselves exposed again.
  19. He should be really good in a team which can counter press well and dominate possession. He's a very inventive creative passer.
  20. Bobb is injured isn't he? Also he seems like one Pep wants to keep.
  21. Despite all the hard work I've put in pushing to get back to full fitness, I need to take a little step backwards unfortunately, guys. Frustrating as it is for everyone out there waiting for my return & to be able to help the team, these shortcomings also upset & frustrate me more than anybody else. I will, and I am doing everything in my power to rediscover the best version of myself & finally get off this emotional rollercoaster, which I'm hoping 2025 will bring. Appreciate the patience, love & support from all those closest that know how hard I really work & how professional I always am. Callum
  22. Guys let's stop the Wood talk already. This forum and myself included were thrilled when Ashworth almost recouped what we paid for him. He wasn't the long term answer and we absolutely did the right thing in selling him when we could.
  23. If we've learnt something over they years it should be avoid Manchester United rejects. Expensive and rarely motivated to contribute and that's without including any limitations they have as players.
