  1. Correct it is, at least imo he's responsible for the growth of the business which then feeds into the budget for the squad. Next year's revenue will be another record because of the CL and Isak money.
  2. Might seem a silly question but what kind of results are you expecting from him?
  3. Yeah I'm not arguing that but we don't come to close them in any metric unfortunately.
  4. Which is fine and reasonable but let's keep it in house. Nothing to be gained from blurting out the indifference to the manager
  5. It's important to remember the PL is just a collection of members (the club's) they set the agenda and they don't want competition or cost Inflation.
  6. For them We aren't going to be in a position to sign the type of deals they do as a result of that. Middle east is also on fire which has to make them think twice about putting money Into the many cash incinerators they do
  7. Aren't you missing the point a bit? I think the actual thought is reasonable it's just better left unsaid for reasons such as what this thread will become
  8. If im not mistaken FMV still applies and it makes little sense for an external sponsor to throw money at us.
  9. They could just have made further concessions. Maybe the club see the value in aligning to Uefa rules?
  10. It would have passed anyway. Plus they did get a concession which is the higher limit for clubs not in Europe. Lose lose situation
  11. Although, when I dovetail the comments with the finances I can see why the situation is tricky. Our business has been extraordinary expensive. The amortisation plus salary of what we did last summer is going to be absolutely mad and push our cost base way up. Missing out up Europe entirely is probably unthinkable budget wise.
  12. This is pretty much where I'm at. I think it's the change In tone maybe that's throwing me off?
  13. Side stepping the talk of last summer and being bailed out for obvious reasons But don't you think his comments are poorly advised?
  14. Maybe, but who cares? Chelsea and Villa have both been fined. Rules stacked against us.
  15. PSR is over it's squad cost now which is really bad for us as our revenue still pales compared to cartel clubs.
  16. It's a mental thing to say imo and I'm skeptical. Totally brain dead and just invites speculation.
  17. Fucking hell big yikes.
  18. Making record revenue is mighty impressive given the lack of champions league football. It's good to see at a financial level things moving In the right direction In hopinksons interview he mentioned it needing to be a record every year and he's at least spot on regarding that.

  20. Grim side of buying players at 16 aside this is good. The low cost reduces the potential downside
  21. It's kind of a Wissa situation whereby you pony up if you are absolutely convinced he's the missing piece to guaranteeing champions league. Unfortunately we've seen how that's worked out
  22. 27 already and on a canny wedge if I'm not mistaken.
  23. Selling him to man united or any other English club that matter would be awful. Selling our crown jewels to other PL clubs is rancid.
