You aren't wrong.

How many injuries will we get today lads? I'm saying 3
-
Barnes coming on, no idea why.
-
Isak down again.
-
One for the ages so far this.
-
Decision will be made In the new year they have promised to consult the fans. I expect concrete news in q1 personally.
-
Sure they could but then Liverpool get another sponsor and the same rate they wanted originally and the gap continues to increase. The point being that with such rules in place with prohibit owner investment via direct means and essentially cap related sponsors at some arbitrary made up number the gap never gets closed. Manchester United are a prime example, logic would dictate they would have less generous sponsors as they've sucked for awhile and don't exactly shine PR wise yet they earn the most If a competitive playing field is desired (it isn't) the rules we have in place only foster protectionism.

Im not keen on TCD Language here it's inflammatory without cause. That being said I do agree with the nature of his point. The reason why related party deals are so important to us is it's our only realistic way of closing the gap to the likes of spurs. Unfortunately whilst we were being tortured by Ashley the rest of the league were investing in marketing and creating a global fan base, this factor makes them a lot more appealing commercial partners than we are. As I've often repeated, why would I sponsor us when I can sponsor Liverpool for the same cost. Sponsoring Liverpool gives my brand ALOT more eyeballs. This is precisely why the PL and the so called members fought so hard to pass APT rules because they know all of this.

I'm with you, if they were over and they got away with it on the basis of exemptions which were claimed at a level much higher than anyone else's or not used by anyone else it's fishy to say the least. Quite ironic that the psr cheerleaders that they are against anchoring and allowed to have larger COVID claims than everyone else.

They are fine.

Barnes is serviceable as a squad player that is a good point. If he's content with that role I've got no objections. Guehi is good and I like him but id prefer someone is who more actually dominant as we might be a bit exposed defending set pieces having him. Fee has to come way down too.
-
You see Barnes starting week in and week out? I like him and rate him but his limitations are quite obvious and you need to tailor your system to cover for them. We probably need to upgrade both Schar and Pope next season if we want to push for CL. time waits for no man.
-
Why try and improve those? Improve Schar Burn Long staff Murphy Barnes pope. Plenty of headroom.
-
Is our squad that bad whereby we need players who are worst than our starters to come in? I'm not sure about this approach personally. We should be investing in the starting 11 where possible and the existing players can become rotational players/sold and refreshed with younger talent.

It's such a shameless bunch of owners. They have literally brassnecks.

Listening to the Athletics podcast regarding these rules changed and Matt slater is on whom I like but he's getting on my nerves so far. Terms such as "smashing the ceiling in a hurry" his tone is off to me it has a hint of disapproval. Why do certain clubs feel a sense of entitlement towards success why are others not allowed to compete. It goes totally against the spirit of the sport to have rules which are anti competitive in nature, it's disappointing this isn't widely recognised as the journalist continue to trot out the premier league line.
-
Oh without a doubt couldn't agree with you more. I went through our side a month ago or so and really couldn't see where the goals and assist were coming from. We are one dimensional and stagnant imo.
-
Any idea how many be got in the second half of the season from open play? Tripps also cost us a ton of goals so I'm not sure he's the answer mind.
-
I'm wondering what's happened to him, he was an aggressive wingback now he looks more like a limited fullback albeit excellent defensively. Was watching him quite closely and their were a couple of occasions when I expected him to sprint and he just didn't
-
Depressing right? I took absolutely zero pleasure in ringing the ffp alarm bell way back, it stinks.
-
Indeed he hasn't played a lot and has pulled up trees when he has. Admittedly his start to his career with us has been less than ideal. I'm not saying he's bad, I think he's really good but I'm not sure he fits us and obviously he cost a fortune and he's on big money. Let's hope he's just doing Eddie's trademark easing period and he comes and shines.
-
Isak xg under performance is 1.x Gordon's is 2.x Our expected points position is where we are.
-
Hmm, he doesn't fit our team and cost a lot. I don't think he's personally the problem but is he the solution ? As of right now he's the worst signing the club has made, objectively speaking.
