Yorkie your right but the problem we have is we aren't Chelsea and I'm sure nobody on here gives a proverbial on how good or bad the signings they made are. Even with the garbage they bought and the fact they have a clown for a goal keeper and a linkedin manager they are still going to finish above us and play in Europe next season. I also think any rational poster actually acknowledges errors gets made and for the most part people have actually been understanding. Getting shit on by the mackems twice in one season is a line crossed for some which is understandable.

Bayern are saying not for sale.
-
We need a lot imo. A lot of deadwood/aged players/players who will want to be off.
-
Think they are after Diomande from Leipzig.
-
Absolutely, no guarantees of anything honestly. This summer is going to be mental and we will get the answers to all of our questions in due time even if we have to read between the lines.
-
I actually think he would be, especially if slots job is safe. We should be very attractive to a manager of his profile tbh. On a unrelated note, I do wonder how much "not knowing" will be a factor for the ownership. I imagine Eddie gets us back into some form of Europe next season (if we don't qualify this season) which means you essentially can't judge him for 18 months. That is problematic if you have a 2030 plan.
-
Hard to say, he'd need a lot of turnover in the market to play his style though.
-
Glad you didn't keel over.
-
Owe us another year for my money. We stood by him whilst he kicked rocks would appreciate some reciprocation.
-
Reasonable imo and pretty much where I am. I really want to believe but I also know football doesn't stop and wait for anyone.
-
You don't need to honestly. ITs nothing which hasn't been posted on here.
-
Actually disagree. Chelsea are hamstrung primarly because they want patsy head coaches and refuse to buy a goal keeper. They've obviously pissed lots of money up the wall too but with a proper manager and a keeper they are bankers for CL. Football. I don't think the owners they have care about winning honestly, just money.
-
Don't think they would do such a cheap deal now tbh. I think we've seen the market change already. If we want a cut price we will have to include nasty causes like buy backs and % of next sale.
-
Would you pay 40m for him?
-
Yeah I wasnt comparing the characters of Bruno and Isak that would be massively disrespectful. I'm more referring to a potential deal structure and one we've obviously seen before as well. Brunos age and lack of pedigree at knockout CL Might be off putting for clubs which actually befit his ability.
-
Dunno man, I could see another special same with Isak. Saudis pay daft money for Bruno F whilst we sell them Bruno G.
-
Some revisioism going on tbh. He got stick because he didn't show up for a year and when he did jogged around or got sent off.

I think the philosophy should come from regional identity and a competent sporting director. Obviously as a club we need to be playing on the front foot, I'd say we do have a tradition of that (delete the Ashley era which isn't worthy or discussion in sporting terms). I also think have a team which players with a high press suits the regional identity as well given we are basically the archetypes of going to work all week and looking forward to the game at the weekend. But other than Eddie this hasn't ever been articulated has it? I mean what is Ross Wilson doing? Did he even give an interview since his appointment? We can't pin it all on his of course but our leaders are who we look to and Eddie aside they are massively absent.
-
In a vacuum it does yes. In reality though im not so sure. I think we suffer as a club because we don't really have an identity or philosophy running throughout us. I mean how do you recruit players when the system may change? I think the club needs to ask itself what is it and what does it want to be? What is our DNA. apologies for sounding like our old sporting director.
-
I only read the summarised tweet and I couldn't get past the amount of uncertainty tbh. It's weird because obviously we shouldn't be signing Ramsdale but I doubt many would be surprised if we did.
-
IF This is true I imagine Eddie walks come the end of the season. That's a lot of questions which he's never been asked before.
-
Absolutely, it was highlighted at the time to be fair. We've actually gotten away with it honestly, imagine if Hall and Tino were injured for large portions of the season at the time. We'd be battling relegation.
-
That was poor squad planning it was obvious to anyone with a brain that going into the season with the fullbacks we had wasn't a great idea. Doesn't mean an academy kid is the answer mind. And you absolutely can critique Eddie's squad management, it's one of those valid critiques which make sense imo.
