Shame. Oh well, look forward to seeing them go out with 0 points and -12 goal difference

Well they've finally got independence... ...independence from Euro 2016 that is

Damn. Come on Bosnia, still plenty of time left. Started the half well

I don't actually understand how James McClean is a professional footballer. The North ain't missing out.

Would be funnier if nearly every Bosnia player wasn't born in Bosnia Spahic was born in Croatia, as far as I can tell he is the only one starting who wasn't born in Bosnia. Sorry grew up in then. Almost none of them grew up in Bosnia Goalposts shifted considerably. I hear many of them don't even play in Bosnia either. Glad to see plenty of Irish players playing domestically...oh wait Should have put inverted commas around 'Irish' as well

I remember the amount of fans who said he can't play through the middle. It was so weird, knowing his technical capabilities Anyone who wanted him RW (like myself) was probably basing it on the fact that all of his best games for us came in that position. On the right there was nothing defenders could do with him. Through the middle he tended to be nullified far more easily. I get that, but I think that can be negated by the style of football under Hoofdew...it just wasn't possible for him to succeed at #10 with hit and hope football. It may be an inferior league, but the way that he's destroying backlines through the middle shows he's pretty damn comfortable there. In an ideal scenario, I would have liked to have seen him used flexibly in all 3 positions behind the striker (as I mentioned at the time), running at full backs at RW/LW and also looking to play between the lines at #10. A player that oozes that much class and footballing ability can be used more than in one way. I miss him.

I'm taking a bunch of clients to the France friendly, I really haven't been looking forward to it (new Wembley is so dull and England friendlies are, well, England friendlies)...but now there's a chance wor Hatem might play, I'm buzzing. Looking forward to being entertained by football again

Forgive me, but what does this mean/what is the link? Check out Weird Al Yankovic on a famous video site. Cheers.

The fact is - whilst we had 'deteriorated results' you wanted to keep the person responsible for them. Bringing Carver into the argument as a means to suggest we were better off with Pardew is probably the most damning of faint praise imaginable in terms of being a football manager. I still can't work out whether you're a WUM or you just have strange football tastes. Defends Pardew, Keegan is a quitter, love Sammy Ameobi. It reads like a rap sheet for St Nicks tbh. Don't forget 'sir Bob was hounded out' and 'wor Jack for captain.' Fucking mental His desperation to see Carver in the job makes his 'results have detriorated' line absolutely pointless. He has to be a WUM, no one can possibly be that spectacularly dense...can they?

There's no getting round the fact that results have plummeted since Pardew left. Seriously?

Remember that well. Thought it was odd at the time. But everything had been slowing down so much when he got on the ball and I think it was getting a little tight on the right hand side during that passage of play. So him playing a decent, if completely routine pass to the left flank, was suddenly seen as something much better than it actually was. It is funny though. The twitter and FB brigade absolutely love Colback. But he is crucified on here. I lean more towards the 'burn him at the stake, he's a witch' camp. But I can see both sides of the argument, to a point. What I can't stick is people defending him for 'putting a shift in' or 'working hard'. Best come back to 'he works hard' that I've found is 'so would me and you, that doesn't mean we should be playing for Newcastle?'...it's the worst argument going. Whenever I've come from that angle it gets petty, the response is always 'well you're not a professional footballer are you? You're in the Newcastle squad are you?' I know you are, but what am I? So cringe. Soopafans man
