  1. For those not keeping track, we are absolutely a shite little club whose owners can’t fill out companies house properly, but also we should be looking at a better manager than Unai Emery And ideological mackemhood stretches back to the smithy of the danelaw
  2. Process was a total grind but should smooth us out in the long term
  3. With all that’s gone on this week, if he gets sacked tonight I’d hire him tomorrow without even thinking it over. It isn’t working at Everton and it isn’t going to work, they can’t give him what he needs, we can.
  4. It’s exactly why. There are always a group of mackems with money in any town pissing away time and money on trying to trick bairns into getting sucked in to getting on the roker poker bus, free tickets galore, and it’s always the same small group of press ganged bairns every time. Imagine being at school and your mate asking if you wanted to go see Sunderland. Imagine what your dad would say
  5. I don’t think they could get a better manager than conte, but I have seen a lot of spurs and they are 200m away from top 4 minimum. Conte will be looking at spurs and thinking there are players here I wanted for years, but just like mourinho he will get started and quickly realise that they aren’t as good as he thought and levy will slow walk his maniac spending. They are the 7th or 8th best squad in the league and miles behind the likes of West Ham, never mind city, Chelsea and Liverpool. It will require serious money to do anything with them, I reckon this is going to go exactly the same as mourinho.
  6. The spurs fans seem to think that conte can improve their once paced squad of mediocrities without spending money, but also they secretly have loads of money and top class players want to go to spurs. They are us in 2005.
  7. outside of the coast around Sunderland and the very east of Durham, Sunderland don’t have a majority of fans anywhere and never did. This effort from them to claim all of Durham or anything south of Newcastle is total and utter fan fiction. There are chunks of mackems everywhere but they are basically always well outnumbered and stick to their own little Mackem groups and mackem pubs and basically live their entire lives with the same 20 people to talk football with. Nobody outside of the east of Durham picks the mackems unless their dad forces it on them.
  8. Fonseca isn’t the best appointment but he’s the best of the non perfect appointments, based on tales from my hoop
  9. Roma getting battered here. Jose is doing nothing with this side, they’re a bunch of chumps, expect him gone before Xmas.
  10. I don’t think they’d have sacked nuno now if we weren’t looking as well.
  11. Sacking poch was absolute madness and is the sort of thing that only happens when a beancounter thinks they should be in charge of the football
  12. Almiron should start more games, but can I interest you in some limited big lads who are big and strong?
  13. I find it amazing that anyone can look at the pile of shite we call a squad and prioritise getting rid of Almiron
  14. Stop playing him upfront on his own or in a two, he just isn’t that sort of player and never will be. He needs space to run into with bodies in front of him.
  15. Maybe true but as the last court case drama showed, these things can be dragged out to the point of irrelevance and football isn’t going to stop because the premier league broke a law that will take years to restitute. The premier league isn’t behaving like a rational, stable body even if you take our situation out of the equation. Masters and co are flailing and the big clubs are learning that they can do what they want, to an extent, and that they don’t have to be ashamed of craven monopolising.
  16. I have no doubt that the owners will sort out relegation if it happens and it’s up to them, what I’m worried about is what the other premier league clubs do the year we go down. Now is probably the single most dangerous time to go down, even more so than the others, because while we are notable exceptions for our ability to come straight back there is every chance the other teams lock us out and we end up proper fucked.
  17. Davies was spaced out like he’d suddenly remembered he left the oven on
  18. Spurs are a one paced mediocrity, getting battered off them like we did shows how bad it actually is. I think you’d probably need to spend even more money than us to turn this spurs team into one that was competing for trophies. Nothing players plus Kane, son and Ndombele.
  19. There is no way an international manager can split a job with Newcastle United. There is too much to do. The press won’t give him a chance either, if he thinks it’s bad getting flack from national papers just wait until they find out what it’s like being the only source of 30 pages for a regional paper like the chronicle.
  20. Had his lie down early today and disappeared in the second half. Needs mobility around him to get the best of him. Has none available.
  21. The fact that he rates Fraser is among the reasons why he will unlikely ever be a manager. I agree that the chat about Jones is getting a bit ott and that none of it is actually his fault but I don’t see why he’s picking the same 11 essentially that has lost every week under Bruce
  22. You could tell by his body language that Schar thought Bruce was beneath him. A proper manager will use him properly, completely drop any idea of shelvey and set up so Schar can launch the ball for the actual footballers to chase. His attitude is a problem but it’s a solvable problem and he has genuine quality, as well as being a decent defender.
