  1. Djilobodji has unsurprisingly been charged for whacking Fletcher. 3 game ban then, another first team player missing some vital games. The squad that is already wafer thin must be struggling to field a team soon.
  2. Tickets down to 65 points now. Would imagine it'll struggle to get below 50 though.
  3. Horrific clash of heads apparently it was clearly audible in the stadium too with the force that they met. Hope Mason recovers and gets back playing as soon as possible. No doubt we'll have some do-gooder campaigning for football to be cancelled because it's too dangerous and no footballs allowed over waist height now though despite this clearly being a freak accident.
  4. You do know that these kids aren't professional ball boys don't you? They are kids from local grassroots football teams on the whole. They turn up an hour before kick off and get to borrow some "uniform", get a brief talk about what to do - which includes being told not to climb over the holdings or enter the field of play. My son did it recently with his team. They all had a great experience which surely is what it is all about.... It's lovely that we give local youngsters the opportunity to do it, but that detracts nothing from my original point. The problem is clearly the instructions (or lack of) that they are given. I'm not asking them to climb over hoardings or enter the field of play, I'm just asking them to retrieve the ball at some sort of pace and get it put back in the pitch as soon as possible. Like I said in my original post, the longer it takes to return the ball - the better for the opposition who have come to frustrate and slow the game down.
  5. People do realise that the current alternative is Gouffran, right? Actively not wanting Townsend. Everyone also aware that we are currently a Championship team? He would walk into our starting 11 and walk into being one of the best players in the whole league. He'd bring some creativity that we've been crying out for all season. Of course Townsend would be a superb signing ffs. Whether it's a loan, or a loan with an option or obligation to buy - it doesn't matter, it's still a good signing. He played brilliantly during his time here and showed exactly what he can do. If we go up next season and he's not good enough, then we can flog him and buy someone else. Rafa will have the next 8 months to work with him to decide on that and I trust his judgement. People need to stop sulking because Townsend left. He wanted to play PL football and made that clear even when joining us (hence the clause in his contract). He never hid that fact and didn't spend every waking minute pretending otherwise.
  6. In all seriousness, the fact that they are selling one of their best players to a relegation rival has got to worry them Unless this is for a big fee which they can re-use it is suicide.
  7. That bad signing is only going to add to Palace's sticky situation imo.
  8. In hospital but nothing else has been said.
  9. Especially when the free kick leading to the second was a complete dive.
  10. The reason Merlin probably isn't a betting man is because he's lost so much money on ridiculous bets like that.
  11. You could jump in the air and throw it, getting better elevation.
  12. Mighty Marco Silvo is going to get Hull out of this.
  13. Everyone getting angry at Andros due to one report from one particular rag. Yet another report posted a few days earlier says he is pushing for the move and admits leaving was a mistake.
  14. Never thought I'd see Arsenal at home with every man behind the ball defending against Burnley (who are worthy of something) but here we are
  15. One thing that really irritates me at SJP is how fucking slow our ball boys are. When we have teams coming and sitting back, trying to frustrate and slow the game down we need the ball returned to the field as quickly as possible. It just seems to take an absolute age to get the ball back into the field (if they even move to get it at all).
  16. Other than Townsend I've not seen us linked to a single player that I've thought would improve the squad and/or make the step up next season.
  17. Anyway back to the football. Cant see anything other than two comfortable home wins here now. Hull will be interesting though as it'll be the first team I've seen them under Silva.
  18. [emoji38] Imagine being a grown up and posting this. As opposed to... You brought up the awards ffs Don't get upset when someone else has a go at you Wasn't once upset by it, just thought it was a comparable post to what Felipao bought up (which he agrees with). Imagine getting upset by some people on an internet forum (see my earlier response to you for my reaction to your post).
  19. They'll never go down, not a chance. They are playing bad but there are 5 or 6 teams a lot worse than them who will finish below them. Dont ge tme wrong I dont think they will either.. but http://i.imgur.com/zk7UNiD.png Where are their next (decent, not the odd draw here and there) points coming from? Burnley (who have great home form) away next, Man Utd, Swansea (new manager bounce), Liverpool, Hull (see Swansea), Arsenal. Then they have two champions league ties in the middle of all of that, with possibly a massive game against West Ham coming 3 days after the CL 2nd leg I think they just have enough to beat those teams in/around them at home and that'll keep them up, similar to Burnley. They also still have the ability to turn up against the big teams (beating Man City comfortably, the 0-0 with Arsenal at home where they had chances). I just cant see four of; Palace, mackems, Hull, Swansea, Boro, Watford finishing above them.
  20. Imagine being a grown up and posting this. As opposed to...
