Don't see how anyone could have a problem with Townsend leaving us. He came in January and was told if we went down he could leave. We went down and a Premier League club offered him a job on probably similar terms to what he already had with us. He used to live in London and had no feelings for Newcastle prior to joining us. He also knows that he has more chance of playing for England in the Premier League than the Championship due to the bizarre selection process of this country. It's a no brainer for him. I wish him well as he came in and did an excellent job for us and he put everything in to try and help us stay up.

The Villa job whittled down to 2 according to their crazy owner on Twitter. Bruce and Wagner the fancied two according to the bookies. If either of them get the job, I wont be worried about Villa at all this season.

They also only took 3,700 to Barnsley on a Wednesday. We're taking 5,700 on a Tuesday Why should the Birmingham Mail let facts get in the way of their pretend fans competition? Of course they're not obsessed with us though...

http://www.birminghammail.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/one-table-aston-villa-deservedly-11990862 Not even sure where to start on this How fucking cringe and terrible is this. Do they not realise that we've sold out every away game? And they're only top because they've been to grounds with higher allocations...

Dwight Gayle (now playing for Hibernian)

Genuinely struggle with how ugly Gayle is like, it's incredible. Racist. -
Aye, you can. I'd presume he didn't have enough/refused to, otherwise he'd have just paid it

He reminds me of Forrest Gump in that photo -
Boxing day an absolute nightmare for those who travel to a fair distance to home games, virtually no chance of getting home other than driving. The other changes aren't too bad, the Blackburn one is quite good really.

Hardly the most inspiring list ever

Thoughts on the new ticketing website? I preferred the old one to be fair, but updates are necessary to make it mobile-friendly.

Met Warnock once and he was actually a really decent bloke, absolute crazy bastard with his players though.

Just realised that Bob Bradley was managing Le Havre in the French 2nd tier (and only mid-table) before his move to Swansea What a very bizarre appointment that is, screams of desperation.

Karl Darlow (now playing for Leeds United)
Figures 1-0 Football replied to Nobody's topic in Football
Apparently he had a chat with someone from The Mag (and who posts on here, I believe) in a nightclub and said that NUFC are where they belong (when under Pardew and struggling) and our expectations are too high. Apparently. -
There was at Old Trafford for our lot last time I went. (2014/15) Were they not pyrotechnic dogs for flares and stuff? Surprises me, I've not seen any in a very long time. Wouldn't take much for a plod to stand outside the away end with one either.
-
Are drugs not just more fashionable now then they were before? I'd hazard a guess that a lot of other teams have a lot of drugs being passed around their away end too. It's easy to get it into grounds, there is absolutely no drugs dogs used at matches and very easy to sniff a quick line rather than queue for a pint. It's not just our away support, there are more and more drugs available to anyone on a night out these days.

Swansea making a sideways step, rather than a forward one imo. Gutted Villa have sacked Di Matteo as I was thoroughly enjoying their demise. However, I'm hoping to see McClaren installed very soon.

Dummett makes one half-decent tackle a game. Other than that he spends a lot of time out of position, backing away from the opposition player, or being absolutely murdered by any winger with the slightest bit of pace. In addition to that he's petrified of touching the ball and will lose possession a frightening amount of times. If Haidara cant stay fit or Lazaar is rubbish/new/too sexy to play, we'd be better off playing Clark out of position at LB as he has shown that he is a much better defender. He was also very good away at Bristol City in that position. Your love-in for Dummett is bizarre, especially your need to insult anybody who has an opinion differing to yours. Maybe you need to take a step off of your high horse. I've repeatedly said Dummett's not good enough in the medium to long term in that position. I'm not even gonna touch the rest of that post. If you think he gets murdered by pace you aren't watching the games. A typical response from you that cannot reply to it in it's entirely because your argument is built on nothing. I sit at matches watching wingers run rings around Dummett on a regular basis, we saw on Saturday that the lowest standard of team in this division can make Dummett look very average. Anyone who knocks the ball past him (or through him a lot of the time) will get past him, other than the very rare exception. If I played football regularly at this level, I'd probably make a good tackle every now and then. That means nothing, his awful performances vastly outweigh his okay to good ones. Dummett is not good enough to be playing in the short term, never mind the medium to long term.

There's no way anyone is convincing me that a 65 year old can use the internet like.

This. Are you guys being serious? It was a last minute goal, I think most fans are in the right to celebrate that, no matter what division they are in and who they're facing, especially when they've been s**** all season and last, it was probably more relief for not losing more then anything The extended celebrations and half of the stand behind the goal exiting their seats and rows and running towards the away end was really pathetic. Half of their stadium were more bothered about goading the away fans then supporting their own team. They came out of the ground bouncing around like they had won the league, rather than sitting near the bottom and scraping a point at home in a game they'd have expected to do well in at the start of the year.

This.

Love it how Sky completely ignored the fact that the goal shouldn't have stood.
