  1. I honestly think you could replace 4-6 bottom half Premier League teams with 4-6 of the top Championship teams and not notice a drop in quality. The Championship has came on leaps and bounds in recent years, which is surprising when everyone thought the Premier League money would result in the Championship being left behind.
  2. I don't think he's overrated, he's just young (for a keeper) and still has a lot to learn, but for his age he has a lot of potential. He’s a year younger than Butland and nowhere near his level.
  3. Aye, Cabaye is such a wanker for wanting to leave ambitionless Newcastle to go and move back to his homeland and play for a top side with probably triple the salary. Why should Cabaye show any loyalty to us? We’re happy to throw players on the scrapheap (Ben Arfa) or flog as soon as possible - yet players are expected to be the most loyal professionals to the same club I have no doubt that Cabaye was probably forced out in the same manner as Carroll, Given, Enrique etc. Our club under MA has proven time and time again that they are the problem, no idea why this situation is any different because Pardew claimed he didn’t wanna play.
  4. To be fair, Loftus-Cheek, Zaha and Benteke may be better than we’ve got but Merino, Shelvey and Yedlin are probably better than what they’ve got. We are both two poor sides, but we are managed and coached better. There really isn’t much between the two sides, maybe one player here or there but I don’t think they have an overwhelmingly better team.
  5. Much prefer Boufal’s goal to one like Cisse v Chelsea. Anyone can whack a ball from anywhere on the pitch and could catch it right, but to run from your own half and leave the opposition on their arse Why does he never start for them? I barely watch Southampton but when he came on v us, they looked 100x more threatening and then he goes and does that yesterday.
  6. What a load of tripe about hodgson. What? A boring team with little/no ideas going forward - the perfect Roy Hodgson team. They have no strikers tbf, not his fault That has absolutely nothing to do with his team being boring or having little/no ideas going forward tbh. You can play without a striker and still be fun and not lack ideas, i'd argue that him not starting Loftus Cheek just strengthens figures argument tbh. Having no players who can play as a striker has nothing to do with his team being boring or lacking ideas going forward? Ok then What? strikers have fuck all to do with a team being entertaining or needing ideas going forward. Pep could bench Aguero and Jesus for the rest of the season and they wouldn't be boring or lack ideas. I dunno about you but a striker doesn't suddenly make a team exciting to watch that wasn't before. Aye well I'm not comparing Roy Hodgson to Pep Guardiola Most managers would struggle to have a good attacking team with no strikers available. If we had Harry Kane up front I think we'd be much more entertaining but fair enough if you disagree So if Roy Hodgson had Harry Kane, he’d have a much more entertaining team? I never said anything like that. I said that its unfair to judge their attacking skills on a game where they had no fit strikers available. Of course its very likely they will be poor going forward anyway Nobody is judging Hodgson on one game though; they are judging him over his entire England career and so far his short career with Palace. He had an England team with a lot of in-form attacking talent and managed to make them into one of the most boring England sides I have ever seen and oversaw two hideous tournaments. You’ve just said Harry Kane would make us more entertaining - so why were England as dull and uninspiring as Palace today? He was a decent manager, he’s now out of touch with the modern game and his dinosaur tactics aren’t going to work.
  7. Was he playing in slippers today? Honestly think he fell over more than he touched he ball
  8. Disgusting challenge - yet again, unpunished.

  10. Did Martial just stand on the Huddersfield there and MOTD cut it off before you saw it? Edit - could have been nothing, I dunno...
  11. Stam can’t be much further behind in the sack queue like.
  12. Couldn’t pass, gave Palace several opportunities to break (which they couldn’t take), failed to tackle them, tried to foul them and he couldn’t even manage that
  13. They wont go down but it’s fucking hilarious watching them try.
  14. Good job he scored because he was fucking awful when he came on A real likeable player, love him.
  15. Yet another game where an opponent gets away with a red card* - how many games in the PL is it now since an opponent was sent off? *not seen it back, but it looked a certain red from my seat
  16. What a load of tripe about hodgson. What? A boring team with little/no ideas going forward - the perfect Roy Hodgson team. They have no strikers tbf, not his fault And his reign as England manager? With one of the best strikers available? He’s past it and will take that Palace team down. What does England have to do with his Palace team? Just further evidence that his teams are boring and lack ideas going forward, even with one of the best strikers in it. Your response to his Palace team being dreadful was that he doesn’t have a striker, my reply was that it makes no difference.

  19. Did well today when he came on. Nowhere near the quality that we need but credit where it’s due. Then again Rafa could have bought himself on in the #10 and it’d have been an improvement on Perez.
  20. With investment we have every chance of making Europe. Would take comfortable survival all day though, anything else would be a significant bonus.
  21. Didn’t think he was too bad today like. Prefer him to Dummett, would rather have Mbemba there.
  22. That old bloke has the strangest eyebrows I’ve ever seen like.
  23. When the PA announcer said ‘Gallowgate Flags’ Had nee idea what was going on, expected a riot.
