Everton vs. Newcastle United: 27/04/23 @ 19:45 (BT Sport)

Can’t help being concerned about tonight, going to be a bear-pit atmosphere and I’ve seen us have some utterly horrific performances at Goodison. Always pessimistic when we play this lot. -
Wasn’t Brozovic mentioned really early on as a target after the takeover?
-
Do we have a year option on any of the following players? If not, the club will have to stick or twist this summer. All expire summer 2024 Wilson Krafth Manquillo Burn Schär
-
Rice is also home-grown which is a huge benefit to European competition regulations. I think Man City will exercise their buy-back clause on Lavia this summer.

Very scrappy game.

Please just perform in this fixture this time around. I don’t know what it is about Goodison, but we always seem to be just absolutely hopeless against this lot. -
He’s still only 23 What a player.

Newcastle United 6-1 Tottenham Hotspur (23/04/2023)

It was Benoit Assou-Ekotto who came out with that quote I think. Rose’s professional motivation also seemed to evaporate towards the end of his time at Tottenham, but we don’t know the full story of what went on. I think the guy has been struggling for a while with some issues. -

Honestly really felt for Danny Rose when he was talking about the absence of football in his life, and how he’s struggled to come to terms with it. Reminded me of a few articles I read about the brutal dislocation of routine and structure for footballers when their career ends / let go. I hope he finds his purpose in the next stage of his career, whatever it may be. -

What a sensational result, so proud of the team. -
Felix is an incredibly talented player, but honestly I just don’t think he’s the right fit for us at all.
-
Mullin is sensational mind, to shoulder all that pressure and just constantly deliver big for them every week is so impressive.
-
Much more interesting than I expected. With my passable Spanish, it does contain a lot of specific details that suggest it isn’t just a throwaway article. Almost reads to me that the journalist has been tipped-off. Also backs up other claims that we are going to spend big this summer.
-
Agree but particularly with players at Barcelona. They’re at their dream club and on huge wages. The only way is down from their perspective and I always wonder if the motivation for them professionally is just completely gone at that point thereafter. I don’t see players like Raphinha as feasible for us.

Emirates ultras going crazy on the drums
-
What an absolutely outstanding goal by Dybala for Roma’s second. Glorious turn and finish.
-
We will go for Joao Pedro I think, especially with Watford blowing their play-off chances.
-
Every team will call Chelsea’s bluff on transfer fees this summer.

This is rubbish man, none of the players even glanced at her. It would have taken a second to smile at her, ask her how she’s doing or share a little joke with her. It’s basic human decency. The reason why that clip has gone so viral is because there’s a recognition that the lack of effort to interact with the little girl is genuinely shocking.
-
Honestly that’s absolutely heartbreaking to watch. You can see the hope in the poor girl’s eyes to have a moment of interaction, or even acknowledgement from her heroes. You can tell Odegaard is her favourite, yet he was so uninterested he couldn’t even be arsed to take out his earphones. Fucking wankers man.

Garang Kuol: Joins Sparta Prague in permanent deal (Official)
TheInfiniteOdyssey replied to Johnny's topic in Football
It has been a dreadful loan unfortunately. You would have thought both Kuol and the club had been given strong assurances over game-time, considering the level of interest in him in January. Whatever the case, I’d imagine Hearts have truly burnt their bridges with us when it comes to loaning prospects in the future.
