  1. Interested to see who he'd go for. Takeover has to be done for there to be funds in January, really don't think there'll be another penny put in as long as Ashley's there. Of course we don't know how far along it is but that guy on SSN not that long ago who said there's no chance it'll be done by Christmas worries me a tad.
  2. Was listening to Radio Newcastle after the game yesterday, one caller was asked if money wasn't an issue who would he go for striker wise who we could realistically attract. Said Dembele from Celtic. Anyone else take him and do you think we could attract him? Personally think it'll take more than £20m to get him and I'm unsure how he'd fare, but he'd definitely be an improvement on what we have although that isn't saying much. Either way the takeover would have to be done to make that happen.
  3. No need to launch into a burst of vitriolic rhetoric, like. Caulkin and Hardy are two both very well respected journalists and have covered this. PCP haven't denied it and have refused to comment on the matter. There's something there, no doubt about it. To dismiss it as another Ashley-Bishop PR stunt is baffling.
  4. Did Neville say "it's like Kevin Keegan's Newcastle" there?
  5. Not his fault, shouldn't even be starting. But he is, thanks to injuries and the parsimonious fat fucker who owns us who hopefully will piss off within 2 months.
  6. Should loan him out ASAP. Looks bereft of confidence and won't regain it here.
  7. He's an average-below average keeper. It can be seen why Rafa wanted a GK in the summer, once again he was shafted. Elliot is ok for the time being but long term we need an upgrade there. Short term, we need better options up top. Simple.
  8. Dunno Striker and AM aside he's pretty far up the list, i have never understood the fanfare around him personally. He's basically a 2nd fullback and contributes f*** all going forward. Atsu aside he's just as irrelevant offensively as everybody else tbh, one thing i do like about him however is he doesn't treat the football like a grenade like most of the team. Doesn't he have the most assists in our team? That will happen when you are a good set piece taker for a team that does f*** all outside of set pieces. I can recall two of his crosses which led to goals in open play from the top of my head. He doesn't contribute "f*** all" going forward and we have much bigger problems than Matt Ritchie in our team, if you can call him a problem.

  10. He'll be playing up front for his country in the World Cup ffs Really wish we'd just try something different and play him.
  11. 0-0 under McClaren as well. My bad.
  12. 0-0 under McClaren as well.
  13. Really can't explain the sub for Joselu like.
  14. Dissent I think. To me it just looked like he got booked for getting pushed over.
  15. Played well in the first half, created enough chances but didn't take any of them. Second half was poor. Joselu for Perez sub was disastrous. Officials were dire. I don't want to jump to conclusions on players but Murphy made absolutely no impact on the game when he came on, didn't look quick, didn't press quickly. Maybe he needs time and games but it doesn't look great. We knew the limitations of the squad after August 31st. We knew it was going to be a slog. And here we are.
  16. Perez and Riviere under Carver. De Jong and Cisse under Pardew.
  17. Turns out that's the only game that's been picked up by BT or Sky. Champion.
  18. That's the thing from .com isn't it? Good god. If someone brings it into the ground someone nick it and burn it.
  19. We've got a really tough batch of games coming up after the international break, so a win would be not only fantastic but quite important.
