  1. Good save from the fascist there.
  2. It’s for hipsters and stat nonces but xG is a decent metric to use tbf. If your xG is high but the results in games don’t reflect it, it suggests that you create but miss loads of chances and your striker is shit. Vice versa. If across a season you’re losing games on xG but you’re winning games you’re either quite lucky and/or are an incredibly defensive side with a clinical striker. I imagine under Stephen Roger we were losing on xG every week. Suggests that, as was proven, we were fucking shit.
  3. Forest are where they are on merit and are a good side, they must be, but whenever I’ve watched them they’ve never looked good. They did win 7-0 recently tbf but games like Wolves away where they won 0-3 massively flattered them. And we took them apart in the second half at the City Ground back in November; no one since has managed to win there. We need to win for any sort of CL push imo. Lose it and we’ll need to collect 10 more points than them between now and the end of the season to finish above them. Can’t see that happening.
  4. Nah, you're spot on. Benitez's sides put up a couple decent showings in this fixture considering the players that were in them. Shown far more than today's AIDS anyway.
  5. A PSR doing but we've been desperate for pace in defence for yonks, now. We haven't had any since probably Yedlin.
  6. If we beat Forest I still think we’ve a good chance but a loss and I can’t see us catching them, and I can’t see us finishing above Man City no matter how poor they’ve been. That leaves 5th; Chelsea have hit a wall but Fulham look good, are 2 points behind us and have good upcoming fixtures. Just the way we’ve been playing in the league lately does not inspire a shred of confidence.
  7. Fulham and Bournemouth are in form and have nice fixtures up to the break. If Forest beat us they’ll be 9 clear of us. I don’t know why we can’t hit form (or just not be shit) now. If it’s a mentality issue with a final on the horizon again that the squad and managing staff are unable to sort out, it’s disappointing as fuck. Then again, in January-February 2023 the league performances weren’t as bad as they have been so far in 2025.
  8. This is incredibly reductionist. They were level on points and goal difference with us before today and have been poor for ages. We were unacceptably pathetic. And have lost 3 of our last 4, with most of the performances in the league in 2025 quite shit. I understand if people are getting worried regarding top 4/5. If we lose to Forest I can’t see us getting top 4, can see us being adrift by the international break tbh.
  9. I thought after Bournemouth. 2 timid defeats in the 3 that followed, 0 clean sheets.
  10. Our performances in the league in 2025 have been fairly lifting tbh.
  11. Good decision in the end, then. 3 defeats in 4, 11 goals conceded. Fairly crap performances all round in the league so far in 2025. If there’s a mentality issue still there regarding big game(s) on the horizon we won’t win a thing. Proper small time.
  12. Didn’t bother watching the second half out of disgust, went out to get some steps in. Was intensity our identity in the second half?
  13. I couldn’t tell you what they are. Just seems to be a man for man marking and press from goal kicks or when Ederson has the ball that leaves us wide open at the back.
  14. Watched this same performance in this fixture god knows how many times now. Boring.
  15. Assuming they don’t score before the final whistle here, Leicester have failed to score in 5 consecutive home games. Yikes.
  16. Christ. Not been myself, mates of mine have done and raved about it. Suppose you get what you pay for…(well, not really, £7.50 a pint is outrageous)
  17. Do you like Guinness? If so, Mulligans. Lush there apparently but it’s like 7 quid a pint.
  18. Leicester fans protesting today. Given how they’ve been run in the last 3-4 years and the impact that’s had on the pitch, fair, but shit like the thread below and no wonder.
  19. One of the more iconic moments at Goodison despite it being shite for us in the end. The bloke who came on the pitch from that end with a knife. When the protestor fell backward and he got hauled out like a corpse being discarded whilst getting abused by their and our fans. Either that or Vieira scrapping the Everton fan on the pitch. Happened same season. An utterly box office football club.
