  1. I doubt there is an agenda specifically against ourselves, but there is definitely an agenda to protect the brand identity, and the closer we get to threatening that, the stronger the focus of that agenda will be on us.
  2. I rarely delete my embarrassing mistakes.

Yeah. I think so. Also the lack of Bruno has so much impact on our overall position on the pitch which probably affects his decision making. Similar with missing ASM and Wilson. Like i said in the Jacob Murphy thread, he's young. He's enjoyed success in a particular role, but he's being asked to perform a different one, missing 2 out of the 3 attackers he would normally be playing with.
  4. He's only young. Asking him to replace at least 4 players is too much responsibility.
  5. Bruno wasn't far away before Liverpool, and both he and ASM weren't far away before today. A week off should see them back in time to roast West Ham. Wishing for Wilson might be too much, but he's got to be close as well, you would think.

I was quite encouraged by his getting into the box today, actually. When I first switched on he was in there, on the right hand side, exactly were I want to see him. I do agree though, he's not [yet] the player Howe wants in that position. Just weird to think he's started every game. I think a break from first team duties, to reflect on his recent experience, will do him good. Basically, drop him, but be nice.
  7. Oh Jesus. My bad. I thought this was the Willock thread.
  8. And who pays his wages? Limited? Does that mean it's a private company? Who's on the board of directors?
  9. He's a 22 23year old in a crisis of confidence, but he isn't giving up. Give him a couple of years.
  10. Definitely not. I think one at a time, two at a push. This is why I'm not too concerned about the squad. I always felt we could accommodate one back-up in the starting eleven, but the way we've performed without [arguably] our best 3 players, has been revelatory. Not to mention that Howe has also rotated the defence.

Noticed a certain nervousness in some of his interviews, he seems to settle, but I think he's a lot younger than his age. Hopefully he can benefit from Isak's presence. Really want him to succeed here.
  12. To be honest, I think Howe would have rotated the squad throughout this period, anyway. Everybody getting game time to keep their fitness levels up and avoid injury. Unfortunately the injuries hit first.

It's not working for him, and he's getting a lot of stick for obvious deficiencies. But he's obviously playing a vital role in how we are playing. He benefitted from Bruce's 'let's play' philosophy by constantly getting into the box. It seems obvious Howe has given him particular instructions that affect his ability to do that. My hope is that Howe has used these early games to present him a challenge. Whether he has risen to that challenge probably won't be answered for some time.
  14. At 12 frames per second maybe.
  15. In his video he scored quite a few like that, especially when in that position. I think we might see it quite often.

35 clean sheets in the last 3 seasons. 3 from 6 already this season.
  17. I mean. I acknowledge, and accept that. But I did label this one.
  18. I'd say Willock is the weakest link in the current set-up. But a lot of what he does is easily overlooked, I've done it myself, whereas the things he doesn't do, stick out like a cobbler's thumb. Needs a break from 1st team duties, but hopefully he's benefitted from the experience. His fitness levels should be of the chart. Need to start bringing him into games, as a sub. I think he'll be more valuable defending a lead because he's very good at counter attacking. But I still miss the guy that used to pop up in the box with an assured finish.
  19. Take a look at our fixtures, dude. A long list of Saturdays and Sundays. Not a Tuesday or Wednesday in sight.
  20. The broadcasters, in cooperation with the PL and FA. Football is no longer sport to them, it's a highly profitable entertainment package.
  21. This wouldn't be the case if we had a better squad. Should have won 3-0 today and the decision doesn't matter. Howe gets what his shite transfers deserve. /s
