Yeah. I think people need to learn to take online commentary with a pinch of salt. Just the other day we had our very own Hayden stating how he wished somebody had been glassed. We all know he's not that kind of kid, but visitors from other clubs [like you all are when you go scouring for something to hate] don't know him.

That is beautifully grotesque.

Football journos are nowt more than a bunch of pigs with their snouts buried deep in a trough full of their own shit.

Have you not grasped the media's role on twitter yet?

Starting Line up for the benefit of TV fans: ASM Wilson Isak Joelinton Bruno Almiron Targett Botman Schar Trippier Pope How it works in practice: ASM Wilson Isak Almiron/Trippier Targett Joelinton Bruno Trippier/Almiron Botman Schar Pope

Hmm. I don't think so. I reckon Wilson is switched on enough to accept his limitations, and would be happy to be one of our top two forwards. If we were to sign another Isak that might change. Think we should maybe look for a younger player who can step in in a year or two, replacing Wood.

We could just continue to upgrade the first team and the squad improves. Buy Diaby [or similar] and Almiron becomes a squad player and Murphy fucks off [soz Jake]. Buy Maddison [or similar] and Willock can continue his development with less immediate expectation. Buy a Schar/Lascelles hybrid and Schar becomes our back up. At that point we'll have a first eleven that we're happy with, but that doesn't necessarily mean we stick. I do agree that we need to continue our focus on youngsters that can make it. But we need a mixture in reserve. Solid reliable players that are winding down their careers at the club, for when you NEED somebody. And a nice sprinkling of youngsters who can step up when the opportunity presents itself. I think we've signed three of them this window. Those players will have matured in a year or two. This is why I give the window 10/10 The club has laid out it's intentions and they fill me with hope.

Taking a bigger chance though, especially with loans. If they don't hit the ground running, in a different league. It often takes a year for imports to settle in. Also Howe has stated that loans earne't idea because the player might not be invested in the club. I'm not saying it's a bad idea, obviously it's wise, but the options are limited.

Definitely. He's started every game and played at least 70 mins in each of them. Adding up the minutes he has been rested from substitutions tells us he has missed only 71 minutes of our total game time. Interesting fact. Liverpool is the first game in which we conceded late on, it is also the first time Willock has been asked to play 90 mins.

I think everything is being considered, tbf. Even if everything isn't mentioned within a post. What you say is obvious to anybody watching our games, at least 2 of our goals have been conceded with him in the position you mention. I ,might curse him at the time, but my complaint is actually that he is being asked to play a role that he is not quite able to do. It's not a criticism of the player, simply an observation on the functionality of our set up and team selection. Having said that, it won't take much for people to start blaming him personally for not being as good as Bruno.

Aye. Good point. I think Willock could play the RW similarly to how I expect Isak to. Making us look something like this in attack: Trippier and Almiron being interchangeable. ASM Wilson Isak Almiron Targett Joelinton Bruno Trippier ----------------------------------- Botman Schar Pope Patient possession based build up down the right, with Almiron and Trippier, direct running at the defence on the right with Targett and Joelinton as insurance. That looks pretty

At least you appreciate the fact that here is another team who can impact the outcomes of the game. -
I expect this when Wilson is fit.
-
10/10 simply for the way they did the Isak transfer.
-
Not only that, we've seen the type of character they look for. And it's not bad.

Maddison in January.

TBF Joeinton, ASM, Willock, Krafth and Wilson were all signed under Bruce. There is Lewis, but most of the deadwood was the third rate shit Rafa had to settle for.

Aye, He's definitely clinical. Like his opportunity you mentioned above, his focus was on getting the ball between the sticks, he just hit it too high. Possibly in that situation you want him to be less clinical. A wide effort that stays low has the possibility of taking a deflection. But I'd take his clinical finishing over Murphy any day. I didn't compare him to Wood as I don't think I've seen him even try a shot.
-
Hope he gets some playing time. Top pro who I can't remember letting us down. Injuries obviously restricted his opportunities under Howe, and if I'm honest I'd keep him over Dummett, but if he can get some playing time at another club that's probably better for him. Good luck fella.

So the fans have bought 4 xxxl jackets and disguised themselves, in groups of 3-5, as security guards.

Every team drops down a notch when their best player is missing. I think he's grown in confidence during this spell in the team and wouldn't be concerned to see him in the starting line-up again, alongside Bruno and Joelinton.

I wonder... The Lino putting his flag up. He shouldn't do that, like you say, and I believe the reason is specifically to allow the defence to carry on unaffected. By raising is flag he allows the argument to be brought. Even if the offside decision was not given, it would be controversial. The Scousers in the studio would be analysing every frame for a shot of VVD glancing at the lino.
