I'm swinging. I've no reason to like or dislike the lad, I've said a few times he doesn't deserve abuse, but the more I see, the more I think the abuse is raising his profile. Certainly, for me, it was his willingness to put himself out there to be abused, that I found quite admirable. But if his existence is constantly being dragged into my peripheral vision, then I'll eventually be forced to make a decision on him, and if I'm honest I can't bear one minute of most of his videos. I guess my problem with him, is that I wish him success, but I don't want HIM to succeed. I want him to grow into somebody that deserves success. And I'm not particularly interested in watching that development.

Is there anyway of highlighting which comparisons are to Bruce, and which are to Howe? I know I can look them up, but it would be nice if it was all encompassed on this page. If it helps at all the games are: Bruce West Ham (h) Villa (a) Southampton (h) Man U (a) Leeds (h) Watford (a) Wolves (a) Spurs (h) Jones Palace (a) Chelsea (h) Brighton (a)

Have to imagine some kind of 'his people spoke to his people' shit occurred. Just seen Bill Burr did a podcast with Beavis and Butthead on Triggernometry. How the fuck does that happen?

James Maddison (now playing for Tottenham Hotspur)

Probably shouldn't sign 5 year contracts, or extensions beyond 2-3. -
If they're lying in a position that affects the decision you're likely to be onside. Unless you're Papiss Cisse.

What impact do people think scrapping offside altogether would have on the game? Is it still necessary? Are the issues it was introduced to resolve still issues today?
-
This is something that could be done better by using VAR in a sensible way. If the forward's shoulder is deemed to be offside, and it goes in off the shoulder, it's offside, but if he swivels and volleys it into the top corner then the goal stands.
-
It probably is, it's such an obvious thing to do. Although to be fair, I'm thinking of it playing out on TV. Not sure how it would work in the ground with 52000 shouting "Wanker" at the same time.

It's a way of giving the *uncertainty advantage* back to the attacker. Just make it the frame that precedes the one in which contact is visible. I don't think you really need to improve on that. *Edit: Benefit of the doubt, thicko.

West Ham United P-P Newcastle United - 11/9/22 @ 2pm (Sky Sports)

Outside of the Liverpool and City games, this looks like our biggest challenge so far. It's another that both teams could nick, so the draw is predictable. At the end of the day, though, the result will be decided by who PGMOL wan to apologise to first. -
Great idea. No need to mic the ref and risk the kiddies ears when they get called a cunt. But having the command centre in full transparency is probably a good solution, or at least, you would hope, a positive influence.
-
I've missed following the press. Appears to who, exactly? And how?
-
Aye, of course it was. Doesn't mean it's given. Do we know if the ref saw the push in real time?
-
TBF. If nothing else happens, I don't think the ref gives a free kick for the push. Not saying that's right, but things like that are often overlooked.
-
Football is the new reality TV.
-
Aye. The risk of a shortened career is one of the justifications for their ridiculous salaries.
-
Hmm. Interesting. Dunno if the rules changed but it used to be that if the ref included it in his report, it was considered dealt with because the ref had seen it, but if the ref didn't write it up, then it could be altered. I don't imagine this isn't in his report. Especially if Mason has helpfully assisted the inexperienced official with how to write up reports.
-
I can handle human error. Can you describe the human error that has taken place in this instance? They might not have an all-seeing AI, but they have more than what they asked the ref to review.

No, but it's 2/3 weeks since they said 2/3 weeks. -
Bit of an incentive to do their job properly then.
-
"fully co-operate with a review" sounds like it means something, doesn't it?
-
What are they even looking at on that one?
-
I see, "or anal sauce"
-
Oh well as long as they're prepared to completely cooperate I think we should say no more about it.

Just wait until he starts whipping in first time crosses for Wilson and Isak.
