Their record against clubs in the top half has been poor this season. I struggle to identify one that they have beaten when looking at the league table (Pompey and I think Rotherham?). They’ll need much more than an away draw to get on track.

Celtic vs Rangers is always a class match and the three so far this season have been no exceptions. Rangers deserved that win, Celtic were utter shite. The big difference for me is off the field for the two clubs. Rangers have extremely committed owners who have pumped millions into them to get them back on top. Celtic on the other hand have stood completely still. It is Rangers’ year. Thought it was going to be last year, but there were too many draws for them. They’re a different beast this year, though.

Celtic were far better in the ibrox match, but Rangers have been better ever since. It will end at 8 for Celtic. More than embarrassing considering Rangers had to spend four years in the lower division.

Are people really thinking Bruce is better than Rafa Don’t forget who built the bulk of this team together over 3 years. Not to mention the record of success.

It’s some inconsistency that annoys some when it comes to penalties. That and incredibly petty offside decisions that are made by a ref manually drawing lines on a computer. It’s getting better each week, though.

Class refereeing, to be fair. Wasn't sure if was off so waited for the goal so it could go to VAR. I have been very critical of English refs but that was a moment of brilliance in decision making.

What’s mad is it doesn’t feel like we’ve beaten Man United. It feels more akin to a home win against Everton or similar. Beating Man United at home should feel like you’ve just beaten a top, top team and it should be a serious impressive result. Dale is basically the undertaker of the corporate world (think he’s sent 40 odd companies to the grave via liquidation) and yet the EFL let him take over an already struggling club for just a measly £1 and without giving him the normal fit and proper persons test because of bury’s circumstances. How embarrassing. If anything there should have been stricter tests given how the club was already on the edge. The efl absolutely should hang their heads in shame. They’ve sat back and let this ultra cunt hold a club with over 100 years of history to random so he can make a quick 6 figure sale and recover from some of the loses he must have made from his other dead companies. At the end of the day Laccelles has fallen over and taken Kane down with him in the penalty box. Injury or no injury, looking for it or not, it is a pen. The laws don’t legislate for players looking for pens unless they’ve deliberately looked to cheat I.e. dived. I can see why VAR didn’t give it now if we’re having this much of a debate about it. And that is one of the reasons why football is rife with refereeing controversy. Different referees have different opinion, see things differently, etc. Controversy in decision will always be a part of football and if there is one thing VAR has done it has certainly proved that.

The term VARCE is applicable still. A clear penalty and clear red card for the foul on Muto when he was through on goal all missed.
