  1. You’re right, but it’s absolute bollocks if they do. They’ve currently got our next two PL games priced up and you can get a double on us to win both, but surely back to back games are more related than two cups months apart.
  2. I find that difficult to believe in all honesty. Would mean we’d probably have to have 35/36k ST holders. Seems high to me? As you say, I suspect that ~32k allocation is a fair bit less once hospitality, sponsors and players take their cut. At which point we then probably have more people in the cup scheme than tickets available.

So with that being said, would you be prepared to extend Wilson, if the money saved on replacing him got the level of quality RW we need?

In an ideal world perhaps. But not sure there’s many about that adequately do both. Take Gordon for example, played up front / centrally in the U21 Euro’s (albeit maybe a slightly different system), yet not many actually rate him playing centrally.

Would we mind compromising on getting a lesser quality RW and a Wilson replacement, as opposed to, let’s say our No.1 choice RW and keeping Wilson? (bit simplistic, but you know what I mean)

Would your opinion change if he stayed fit for the rest of the season?
  7. Be surprised if they complicate things to that length tbh. As I say, I reckon they want to make the cup scheme as attractive as possible, so if it appears that you sign up for it and you get a final ticket, they probably won’t mind that assumption.
  8. Fair point. Although I’d reckon what the club are gonna be cautious of is devaluing transferring properly, rather than just forwarding the email with the link to download the ticket. If it turns out your chances of getting a final ticket are negatively impacted by doing things properly, everyone will just resort to doing the unofficial way (if they don’t already).
  9. Ah, I see. Unless he does go the Arsenal formation, I can only see Kraft/Botman for Burn and Willock for Joelinton from the ‘usual’ team. Although I suppose there’s more a choice between Tino and Trippier now. And also assuming Gordon will be fine.
  10. They were last time, but we didn’t have the membership scheme as is now. Tbf, ticketing in general was a shambles coming out the Ashley era, and whilst it’s far from perfect now, they at least have some degree of process in place.
  11. I think if you’re a ST holder not in the cup scheme the best you can hope for is being equal priority to members for the final. Would be surprised if they’re ahead. It’s in the club’s interest to make signing up for cup schemes as attractive as possible going forward…
  12. I reckon going off the successful ballot numbers for previous rounds, it’s a fair bit less than that.
  13. I take that to mean that you won’t automatically get, and be charged for, a final ticket, in the way you did for previous (home) rounds.
  14. Aye, I think the cup scheme will account for the first 20-25k of the allocation. It’s what they decide for the remaining bit that will be interesting/contested.

  16. Looks like most are listing now. 20’s looks about the best you can get.
  17. Rodri won’t be back before the final at the earliest. And that would be pushing it.
  18. Think it’s only right that Uncle Arne selects the same team in their next domestic cup match in order to give those players a chance to redeem themselves.
