That would be quite some degree of stubbornness, given they literally won’t be able to see the game 😂
  2. And everywhere is absolutely packed anyway. So you have to get there really early, which then has to be followed by leaving to go to somewhere further away that is allowed to show the match.
  3. If you haven’t got a ticket, I’d basically get yourself a fair distance away from the stadium.
  4. You’d probably have to be queuing some point in the morning to get in.
  5. Tbf they’ve had that on since Friday so I doubt it was confirmed when they whacked it up.
  6. Seems unlikely Sky would want it on the same time as a live PL game?
  7. Probably be at least one change from Barnet. Depends how much want to pay really. Obviously the further out you stop the cheaper it’ll be, but the more awkward the journey.
  8. The only thing I would say on the positive side for you, is at least all of your efforts in the last two seasons have been properly recorded. Appreciate at present that equates to next to fuck all, but at least if they do get round to sorting tiered memberships, it might help put you in a decent position.
  9. 1. Don’t really understand what points we’re talking about here? Are you advocating issuing points for attending home games? 2. That’s really supposed to happen now, although things aren’t technologically advanced enough to prevent it being easy to navigate round. 3. Would require a massive shift in fan mentality to accept ID checks at home games. And also considerably better queue management! 4. Similar to point 1, not sure what points you’re referring to? 5. You mean you can’t leave your seat empty more than X times a season? Fair enough. 6. That might work to some degree in a new stadium. Probably sounds like I’m being negative towards your ideas there, but that’s not necessarily the case. Even if I don’t agree with some of them, this kind of ‘out the box’ thinking is probably helpful towards coming up with solutions going forward.
  10. Tiered membership has to come in. As I’ve said previously, I give the club a pass for not introducing it immediately as data from the Ashley era would have been close to useless. But by the end of this season they’ll have two full seasons of membership data, and IMO that’s enough to work with. I don’t know how they go about coming up with something ’fair’, inevitably that’s probably impossible, but they should be able to come up with something reasonable.
  11. There’s an argument that until we expand / get a new ground, it’s probably not sensible to issue any further ST’s (even to just replace ones not renewed) as tickets are so oversubscribed, you’re better off having as many as possible in the ballot so more members at least get to go occasionally.

Quite possibly, but what can you do? Wor Flags, or whoever else, can only say we want to try and make this area loud/standing, then it’s up to fans to buy in.

I’m intrigued to know why Villa felt it of any relevance whatsoever to state that he reappeared wearing that jumper? 😂

It might be the same people but it’s more about trying to get the ones that want to sing and stand all grouped together, rather than the mish mash we had last time. Whilst I obviously applaud the effort to try and learn from the last final, I fear it only takes one group of fans to want to sit down in the designated area and it knacks everything. We can but try though.
  15. I’d imagine it’s all to do with what’s contracted? We’ll give you X amount a season and if you get to a final you have to give us X tickets? Although you’d think most of our sponsors have bigger fish to fry than getting a few extra tickets for staff/customers.
  16. Wasn’t it the case that Man Utd’s were all digital when ours were all paper? That was before we had any home digital ticketing like, so were miles behind the top clubs. Probably still are. Doesn’t really answer your question like, as not seen it confirmed anywhere?
  17. Always enjoyed a visit to that big pub (The Griffin?) next to the station when going somewhere (normally in the north west like Blackburn) via Carlisle.
  18. The total allocation is about 700ish less than last time. How they’ve split that up, this time or last, remains a secret. Although going off what @Shadow Puppets has said, there’s obviously been a significant(ish) reduction in hospitality.
  19. It’s difficult to argue with the principle of that even if we don’t want to get into a situation where he who spends the most gets first dibs (I know that wasn’t main point of what you’re saying). It’s why some form of tiered membership has to come in. I don’t know how they go about establishing the tiers, but after this season they’ve got two full years of proper data since they inherited the absolute slapdash system of the Ashley era. That’s enough to start making some kind of effort at it. Even if they don’t get it completely correct to start with.
  20. I think if we can win a cup or two, it might actually be easier to implement this. At that point a small portion* of the old guard might think ‘you know what, we’ve finally cracked it, I’m OK with not being able to go to every game now’. *I’ll re-emphasise I did say a small portion.
