Unless he signs a new contract, I’m sure we’ll be back in for Guehi in January. Potentially be some competition by then, but if not, it’ll definitely be a test of Parish’s ego. Refuse to accept much less than what you wanted in the summer, or hold out and probably get substantially less next summer? Not hard to see why he’s a good fit for the role we’ve given him. He also speaks, albeit very briefly, about keeper distribution, which I found bizarrely interesting.

Yes, from the results of the clubs survey/questionnaire, it seems it’s ’on the table’ so to speak. I interpreted that as saying Eddie isn’t being given enough choice of players because our scouting network isn’t big enough. If there’s a good player in the Romanian league, Eddie will recognise he’s a good player, but not if he’s not presented to him. He can’t be expected to be across every league (obviously), so that’s why our scouting has to be better.
