Starting to think that maybe Thomas Tuchel doesn’t frequent this forum.

Putting to one-side the OAP-culling, the safety nonce people wouldn’t let the away end be down there due to entrance and exit protocols.

That was pretty much my experience when I attended one too. Tbh, we can probably all flag up what the issues are, it’s just a lot more difficult to offer viable solutions. Did anyone have any ideas that seemed like they might be feasible?

Now we’ve established the criteria, can I ask what the point of that ‘mini-draw’ is? Why not just have it fixed as 9th v 24th etc?
-

Aye, that’s interesting, hadn’t realised. Should have been Milan v Juve going off league placing last season, but it wasn’t. Will have to have a closer look at the criteria for sorting that out.
-
It’s 9th v 24th, 10th v 23rd etc in the playoff round. L16 is a bit different (see the Villa and Liverpool examples last season).
-
Agreed, and that’s without Davies and Musiala as well.
-
They did get a bit lucky in that Brugge finished 24th and ended up beating Atalanta (9th), whereas Liverpool ended up getting PSG (15th), so there’s definitely an element of lottery to it. But I suppose you’re right, and you’d always take your chances against the majority that finish outside top 8.

Thought that was his best game of the season by a distance, granted, a pretty low bar. Looked a bit of an attacking threat for the first time in a while.

If we qualify next season and get Qarabag and Kairat away you’ll love it…
-
His composure on the ball is off the scale. Although Burn might actually be the better option on Sunday with Brentford bombing the box with long throws. After that though, get him in.
-
Bet he had a scarf on as well…

@HaydnNUFC says nor.

Just seen the attendance at Spurs last night. Not a great look for supposedly the best competition going. And a timely reminder you can’t just charge what the fuck you like cos ‘Champions League innit’.

First Ronnie Radford and now this.

Don’t think it should be a problem. The only slight note of caution would be it seems the club are increasingly aware of people using tickets that don’t belong to them, and are asking for ID at the turnstile. Not entirely sure how they’re becoming aware of these tickets, probably through monitoring resale sites and SM, but I do wonder if tickets being downloaded multiple times flags anything? Probably not like.

Yeah, fair, missed that one.

Barely seems like there’s been a ‘surprise’ result in the whole thing yet. Had a look back through and the only ones that would really classify would be: Galatasaray 1-0 Liverpool Benfica 2-3 Qarabag PSV 1-3 USG Everything else pretty much as expected (within reason), which if it continues will probably see us end up in the top half of the playoff places.

4:30pm. Live on the app. Burn doing the player bit.

The problem is, as with all executive roles generally, we never really know who’s responsible for the final decision on things. Yes, it would appear that the likes of training ground/kit sponsorship fell under Silverstone’s remit, but what if Eales or someone else at that level told him to hold off on that for some reason? We’ll never know. And for that reason I’ll hold off having a committed strong opinion one way or the other.
