  1. Really? Thought it was quite funny myself. No one was being abusive, just a bit of fun, no harm done really.
  2. Really like Welbeck as a player. He’s got good technique, is quick and has a great engine. He’s not a composed finisher though, which is why he’s been mainly used out wide throughout his career. I’d be worried if we were relying on him as the main man to get goals, especially considering his recent injury record.
  3. Harsh and totally untrue Spiteful hatred. Idiotic. Aye, take the piss out of the football club (as we all do) but wanting people on the dole is a stupid and callous thing to say. Yeah that’s a lifting post. There are a lot of Newcastle fans that work at Nissan also if that’s the way you think.
  4. I never want to see this fucker play for us again, let alone pay money for him.
  5. Even if you take the “Promotion bonus” into account, it proves that getting back into the Premier League is a million times more important to Ashley that actually competing in it. He’ll shift heaven and earth to get back on the gravy train but has absolutely zero interest in us actually getting some enjoyment out of our club.
  6. Such a creepy post When it comes to ideas about how to get at someone, I’m pretty fucking good at it. Getting at the psychologically works fucking wonders. I have no idea how to reply to this
  7. I’m surely Charnley is monitoring the shit out of the situation and preparing an £8m swoop as we speak.
  8. Aye i like Billing. Always stands out whenever i’ve watched Huddersfield. They’re awful though so not sure if that’s why.
  9. It wouldn’t happen but i’d rather we signed an upgrade and kept him as a squad player. He’d be a useful player to have on the bench as he can cover a fair few positions and he seems a good character in the dressing room, which i think a lot of people underestimate.
  10. I think Milner is likeable aswell. He’s clearly a top pro and an excellent footballer.
  11. Who on earth is the guy commenting underneath? Saying, “i was critical of Atsu’s charity work in a previous post” No idea what he’s on about, but i find it amazing that someone has nothing better to do than criticising someone else’s charity commitments online. World’s fucked...
  12. 34% is bad isn’t it? Even the likes of Pardew are in the 40% bracket i think.
  13. Aye because it makes them look like fucken idiots for saying we always hound out every manager. Think they need to look a bit closer to home on that one. Kills them, comfortably our manager they’ve despised most. Confounds all their stereotypes about what we like too. It’s great. Both 100% correct ?
  14. I love Messi but that was a poor performance from him, even for his assist he miscontrolled it and should’ve been straight in on goal . The worrying thing for Man Utd is that they still lost and it’s highly unlikely he (and Barca) will perform anywhere near that badly at the Nou Camp. I thought Man Utd played well for about 60-70 minutes but they just didn’t look like scoring at all towards the end of the game. I couldn’t work out whether that was because they ran out of steam, Barca snuffed them out, or because Solskjaer’s substitutions were completely inneffective. Probably a bit of all 3 is the most likely answer. It’s still an interesting tie, as i think Barca look like they could push the self-destruct button at any moment and Man Utd have obvious quality to punish them. You’d expect Barca to get the job done comfortably though.
  15. You mean someone like Saivet or Colback? Both players with tons more experience but got sent out on loan instead of Longstaff, even though Longstaff approached Rafa asking for a loan move. I agree with your 2nd paragraph about youth players in general, i just don’t think it particularly applies in this case as it’s fairly obvious Rafa knew there was a good chance he would be ready at some point this season.
  16. Are you suggesting Rafa’s handling of Longstaff was wrong? I’d say judging by the lad’s performances he got it bang on. Yes i i would’ve been great if he’d come into the side earlier and played brilliantly but you can’t guarantee that would’ve happened. Longstaff came into the side without a senior player breathing down his neck and appeared to play with a freedom that he might not have had in a different situation.
  17. Isn’t it more to do with the fact that we’ve been fucked over with refereeing decisions in the 2 games against them this season rather than the fact they’re doing well at the moment?
  18. ? That’s it like. Also, i think Rafa likes to show his more senior players a good amount of respect and doesn’t just dump them for a rookie if they’ve had a couple of bad games. Players will appreciate things like that i’d imagine.
  19. The point was that Rafa obviously thought he could do a job for him. He was on the bench for about 5 games before we had an injury crisis. He was being eased in.
  20. Maybe Ashley will go down the Kinnear route and go for another average manager from the 90s? George Burley, Mike Walker or Roy Evans anyone?
  21. Why do i keep hearing from people that Rafa somehow stumbled upon this kid cos we had an injury crisis? Longstaff clearly stated in one of his interviews that he went to see Rafa about getting a loan move at the start of the season and Rafa said he was going nowhere as he was going to need him.
  22. Wenger will have already turned down dozens of better opportunities than working with Mike Ashley.
