Miguel Almirón (now playing for Atlanta United)

A key pass is a pass that leads directly to a shot on goal. It's basically an assist without a goal being scored. Kind of dumb, but anything else would be too subjective. Ah ok got it! Cheers! ? -

Matt Ritchie (now Technical Director at Bournemouth)
Away Day Gadgie replied to Fenham Mag's topic in Football
I thought he was good yesterday, particularly in the first half. He put in a brilliant cross for Rondon that had goal written all over it, assisted (sort of) the 2nd goal, and i also remember a superb cross-field ball to someone on the right wing. He possibly could have had a pen given against him but it was good that he recognised the danger and tried to do something about it. I know he’s not everyone’s cup of tea but i definitely think he’s one of those players that you would miss as soon as he’s not there. -

The ball he played out to Ritchie just before the 2nd goal..... Is that what is classed as a key pass? I was really impressed with him. You can see he’s constantly looking to do things quickly and move the ball forward if possible. His passing looks decent and i cant remember too many sloppy bits of play from him, which you often see when a player is new to the league. Looks like he could be a top player for us. -
So infuriating that Ben Arfa was supposedly fat and Rob Elliott was a top pro

I remember one game at SJP a few years ago when we narrowly beat QPR. He seemed to do everything possible to get them something out of the game. Not sure why that sticks out but it does, i was obviously fuming at the time -
That’s great! I love VAR!

Really like Herrera. He always puts in a decent shift whenever i watch him and when you watch his body language and interviews he seems like a proper leader. I think he’s probably vital to Man U at the minute when they appear to have a fair few in the squad who are liable to down tools or bottle it if things aren’t going well for them.

Sean Longstaff (now playing for Leeds United)

He looks like he can do the lot to me. I think you could pair him with any of our midfielders TBH. I’d like to see him play alongside Ki the most i think. -

I’d disagree. Graeme Souness, who turned out to be one of the worst managers in our history, went 10 games unbeaten at the start of his tenure. Interestingly he took over in similar circumstances to what Solskjaer has - a talented squad of players who had been underperforming and were keen to lay the blame at the previous manager’s doorstep.

He has managed 12 games and won 10. This is PSG we're talking about here. It's not going to be held against Solskjaer when he lost 2 of his best players early on and when we went 1-0 down to a player who shouldn't have been on the field. The game was very balanced at half time. Losing Martial and Lingard was huge and then the Kimpembe decision was a disgrace. Ridiculous set of fixtures at the minute and now with these injuries. Agreed. Give him the job. He's doing great. Then he can look embarrassingly out of his depth before fucking off back to Norway so I never have to see his face ever again. I have a feeling that those players will get bored of trying hard well before he gets anywhere near being appointed permanently. They’ve already lasted longer than i expected. My guess was about 6 or 7 games just so it would look like it was all Mourinho’s fault.

It’s something that needs looked at for sure. Far too many occasions where it feels like the ref will just keep on playing until his favourite team scores. I don’t get why you add 30 seconds for a substitution either, why not just stop the clock while the sub is happening? It’s the easiest thing in the world to do!

Although Rooney had a great career i always thought that Ferguson ruined him a bit by playing him in so many different positions. He was a fantastic talent who could do a job almost anywhere but he should’ve been used a lot more as Number 10 or a striker. Imagine how many goals he would’ve got if he hadn’t spent so much time being used at left wing or centre midfield?

That was away to Boro And didn’t he elbow someone as well? Then followed up by nutting Keith Curle the following week. Remember him shrugging his shoulders as the ref wanted a word ? he may have gotten a ban after but he wasn’t sent off, madness given how blatant it was. Really wish there was a video of this on Youtube. The elbow was absolutely brutal! Keith Curle was a horrible cunt so i’m sure he fully deserved it. -
That whole article is utter horse shit.

Aye i’m a big fan of his, looks like one of their best players when he’s fit, which doesn’t seem to be very often.

When we were first linked with him and i found out he played in the MLS, the first thing i looked at was his international career as it’s the highest standard he played at so far. It is concerning i think. Would be interesting to hear what his actual performances have been like for Paraguay as his stats aren’t great. -
Why not put him in for Atsu further up the pitch where he can actually make those important crosses more often and play an actual LB at LB then? Yep Liam and Triggs said pretty much what i would’ve said. Also, i think Ritchie is getting into some decent crossing positions with time to deliver it because of where he’s playing.

It’s got to be a joke surely? Although the fact it’s RTG does make you doubt it.
