Is any of this televised in the UK? It’s always good fun the ACON, even if the quality isn’t the best.
-
I’ve always thought that they were all deals that had already been set up by Allardyce and Shepherd, rather than Ashley. If i remember right we did nowt in the following January window did we?

Any reason why people keep posting this guy’s tweets? He was making out he knew loads about the Staveley takeover aswell, proper lapping the attention up. Something like, “WOW i’m blown away by what i’ve just heard!” or some shite like that. He’s legit. Based in Dubai and has solid contacts. I wouldn’t call him an attention seeker at all. Agree. Trust him as much as I would trust anybody. Don’t think he’s in it for the attention. Fair enough ? That tweet just sounds like guesswork that any logical thinker could do though. He’s not really “sticking his neck out” at all.

Abysmal patter that like.

Who the fuck said that? It is absolutely nowhere near the same!

I’ve always thought that Joselu isn’t a terrible player technically. He scored a few decent goals and had the odd good moment, i remember a cracking through ball he played at the start of last season that Kenedy made a hash of. The ability is there but i think he’s weak mentally which affects him in front of goal and once he’s missed a couple of chances his head goes down. He seems a good bloke so i hope he can get over this issue and have a decent end to his career somewhere ?

Hazard averages roughly 1 goal in 3 in the Premier League. He also has 54 assists in his 245 appearances.
-
Aye Hazard is one of the best i’ve seen. Remember being at Stamford Bridge when we got humped, 3-0 i think it was. Hazard absolutely ran amok that day. I was quite close to the pitch and couldn’t believe how fast he was over the first 3 or 4 yards and how quick his feet were. He’s added great upper body strength to his game since then aswell. Absolutely top player on his day.

They also seem to think they won the Champions League last night because Jordan ‘enderson used to play for them. Oh, and according to Dangernonce, “the mags are seething!” https://www.readytogo.net/smb/threads/jordan-henderson.1475674/

Why would the Premier League give Douglass that sort of info? Sounds like bullshit to me.
-
Where’s this come from?
-
Quite a clever way to get yourself noticed and provoke a reaction. I’m calling bullshit on that one.

Here, she's alreet these days

Nailed it!

One of them definitely bought a “mag” top just so they could burn it and video the whole glorious moment. Absolutely pathetic!

Who cares what we sell him for, the money won't get reinvested either way. How many times does this have to be said before it sinks in? I’d rather we lost him because of a £2m release clause than sell him for £40m and Ashley trouser the lot.

This!

If their past behaviour is anything to go by, Ashley and his band of scumbags will string Rafa along for as long as they possibly can, hoping that Rafa does or says something that makes it look like he fucked the deal up. Obviously Rafa won’t cos he’s too clever but some of our thicker fans will still believe the club’s lies that it was Rafa who was being unreasonable and wanted away. He’s gone lads, if he was staying the deal would’ve been done weeks ago.
-
Agree with that. I’ve always thought his main strengths are his mobility and being able to snuff out attacks breaking from midfield, or just genrally closing the ball down really quickly. His best games for us have been when he’s been allowed to get around the pitch winning the ball rather than just sitting there protecting the defence.
-
I have to admit i did find the end of the game a bit uncomfortable to view and i felt a bit sorry for Watford. The treble was won and it’s not like they needed the goal difference or anything. If it was Newcastle in that situation ( ) i would’ve been happy for us to knock the ball about for the last 5-10 minutes i think. When the 6th went in Guardiola was awkwardly rubbing his head as if to say, “this is a bit wrong.” Obviously he would never criticise his players for trying to score goals though which is fair enough. I wouldn’t go as far as to say it was unsporting or anything, it was just a bit shit if you get what i mean? Anyway i suprised myself feeling like that as i’m sure it’s the only time i’ve felt that way watching football. Maybe i’m getting soft in my old age, but this time felt different to other trouncings somehow.

I find that when teams lose playing open and attacking football they are lazily dismissed for being tactically naive. Theres a feeling that stifling the opposition attack rather than dismantling the opposition defence are only worthy of being called genius tactics. I suppose it’s down to whatever you class as great tactics. To me it’s all sorts of things such as making sure you win a game when you’re in the lead, making the right changes when things aren’t going well, and recognising where you can hurt the opposition. Keegan was good these i think, as is Rafa even though he’s seen as a defensive coach. Defensive shape and organisation etc. definitely does come into it, but it’s not the main thing that makes a master tactician like some of the dinosaur pundits would have everyone believe.
