Surprised to not hear Oliver Kahn's name in this goalkeeper discussion. He was outstanding, better than some of the names mentioned - as much as I rate De Gea and the likes.

Find it hard to believe that Rafa would have held any sort of talks given that we only played our last game 4 days ago. Would have had to have happened very quickly and I just can't see it knowing what we know about his character. I'm pretty confident that he won't be signing for West Ham.

Aye Leander Dendoncker. CDM, he looks mint. West Ham wanted him in January I think. Valued high though, much more than Chancel & Sels' worth combined. Probably most comparable to Diame in our current squad, breaks up play, fairly energetic but with an attacking tendency too. Little bit slow & sluggish though which might see him struggle a little bit in this league.

Still only 26, Shelvey, must be in with a chance of making Euro 2020 if he maintains form. Actually, idc

Marseille's best player by a mile, never mind Payet. Also as an aside whenever I see Lucas Ocampos play I can just imagine him in the Premier League, particularly under someone like Rafa. Does his defensive work very well and is strong & combative for a winger.

Rooney has 10, as does Eriksen. A few wingers have more such as Sterling & Mahrez. Pretty good company for Perez like. All from open play too which counts for a lot imo.

Also don't really buy the weak on the ball narrative. He always looks composed and assured to me, finding his intended target more times than not. He's no Lejeune in possession, but he doesn't really need to be.

Literally paid for his own transfer fee with that save. Aye, literally. He's only conceded 2 goals at home which is impressive Great stat. Not like he hasn't been tested either, kept out a point blank effort against Man Utd towards the end of the game. And his two saves yesterday from Barkley & Giroud were top drawer. There'll be more I'm forgetting off the top of my head too.

He was superb, best defender on the pitch yesterday for me.

Titus was an incredible passer of the ball tbf, I used to enjoy his passes from LCB out to Solano on the wing. Completely forgot about his passing ability. Although I don't accept Colo, Lejeune just has that technique to sniper one out of the back, Colo was more about driving forward with the ball. Colo was pretty class at times Yeah, if there's one thing we aren't lacking any history of its ball playing center backs. Some people man Last "generation" we had Colo who was immense on the ball so much that there were a lot of people calling for various managers to try him as a defensive midfielder. Before that Bramble was pretty decent, at least in terms of long passes and before that again, Albert wasn't much of a hoofer either. Calm down son

Could be any of Lascelles, Shelvey, Diame or Perez. Although many others have been absolutely solid too. Incredible really, what a tune Rafa has got out of them. Going for Shelvey as he's utterly brilliant to watch and we would suffer so much without his positive passing in the team.
