Aye, want to see all of them starting (and think they will) bar maybe Merino if he's not fit. Shelvey was good today so he should play again Dummett should come in at left back too. -

Why the negativity? We were on a decent run before todays game which was a write off to most anyway. The players don't look void of confidence either, other than maybe Gayle but he won't be starting anyway. Let's brighten up and be a bit more positive man, this wallowing attitude spreads to the pitch and won't get us anywhere. -
What? It's a great freekick, Darlow is marking the opposite side of his goal, a perfectly reasonable position to take up - nothing he can do about it if the player is able to get it up and over with pace.
-
If we get offered 15 million for him we should be snapping their hands off, he offers nothing. We need 2 strikers in this week really as we haven't got any 15? Would take 6, he's finished, terrible. On a positive note, Shelvey & Saivet have been good here, and look like they possess genuine quality when on the ball. Can't say the same about anyone else.

A great example of why I disagree with the Shelvey detractors. He played a brilliant early pass there, as he has numerous times in the game already yet the below standard players in front of him can't make anything of it. If he had done that in a Chelsea shirt a chance would have almost certainly been fashioned. Mad to want to get rid of one of our only attacking threats.
-
He seems knackered all the time, so slow and lumbered in everything he does. I really dislike the fact his head is always down too. Plus he's the worst so-called poacher going, his famous movement in the box just doesn't exist.

Another good signing for them. Rather them than us. He's one of the slowest players I think I've seen. Not what we need in this league like.

Nicolai Jorgensen to stay at Feyenoord

I'm still pretty confident we will sign him or someone similar. Call me mad. -
Football games.

Think that's one for the "What are you drinking" thread, Discman.

Yeah that's the thing, and why I'm for it. VAR is not competing with perfection, it's competing with a very flawed system which sees a decision made wrongly what seems like weekly in the Premier League alone. If they can make the call quick enough and communicate to the referee it's welcome imo. When the ref has to stand there waiting, before running across to the touchline to check it himself, that's not great I agree.
-
Ings looks decent too, forgot what he played like.
-
Bit over the top imo. If it can be done more seamlessly the only real argument against not having it would be being in favour of the controversy and decisions being wrongly awarded/not awarded. Other than that it clearly has a use in the sport if done correctly.

Wonder if it'll be ironed out and persevered with - or if this be looked back on as a bizarre period in English football. I personally think if the process was sped up it would be very hard to have any complaints about the inclusion of video replays in game.

Personally I don't care what fee we pay to get him in. £15m or £25m, makes not a single jot of a difference to us - but could make a huge difference to the squad/manager. -
You mean you don't know the Guingamp II, Mali U23 sensation Fousseni? What you deeing on a footy forum man

  Never seen that before, the nonchalant manner in which he says it done me.

Tbh I'm just grateful we have a manager that we'd actually be worried about losing for a change. Enjoy it. -
Good news if it means their interest in Shelvey is ended as a result.
