  1. Good news if it means their interest in Shelvey is ended as a result.
  2. Hope the design agencies name doesn't get out or else they'll be ruined - or at best need a complete rebrand themselves (which they should outsource) . I'd guess that in the process of designing that logo, there was likely 5-6 really strong directions, and probably due to two many cooks, they've ended up with that shocker.
  3. Aye. Social media platforms generally seems to bring out the worst in/of fans, usually the angry and largely irrational ones. The club's Facebook page's comment sections are extremely imbalanced towards the negative; I genuinely feel sorry for the club's media team as they can't post a single thing without being bombarded with idiots. Some will say this is due to the how the club is ran from the top and that the angry fans would be contented if we had a different owner and were playing better football, but I tend to disagree. I reckon people will always be using those platforms as a place to vent their general anger semi-anonymously. Forum's on the other hand have always tended to be a bit more balanced and reasonable in my experience.
  4. Nico finishes with great conviction on the auld YouTube. I like the cut of his jib.
  5. Can't believe we're breaking our transfer record on a tall player. Low even for Ashley's standards this. Get Kelvin from Porto ffs.
  6. Don't think anyone is moaning tbf, just pointing out that it seems over the top for a loan signing tbh It's a joke, it's a joke! Moaning bastards.
  7. Always something to moan about Moan all window at not signing anyone, then moan about the PR when we do. Our poor media team.
  8. It's as accurate as it comes, I just had to pull you up on your second use of the same punch. It didn't get the reaction it deserved either time if I'm honest. Under-appreciated.
  9. Definitely looks like someone who's unlocked all of the tattoos on GTA, like. Big fan of that punchline are we, Haydn?
  10. Nah, you just missed the market changing. The market where, for example, other English players such as Andre Gray (£18.5m), Oxlade Chamberlain (£35m), Danny Drinkwater (£34m), Jordan Pickford (£25m), Michael Keane (£35m), Kyle Walker (£50m), John Stones (£50m) aren't worth what they're bought for either. Shelvey didn't become a £20m player, a £20m player became Shelvey. Either way he's certainly not a £12m player. £12m for even a relatively established English player now gets you someone like Sam Clucas, Will Hughes, or if you're lucky Jack Cork. All overpriced, but each a better player in what they do and their role for their respective club’s than Shelvey. 12m though is a p*ss take given we probably paid that for him, no? You clearly haven't watched much of Andre Gray then I know who I’d rather have for 20m or under... You may, it doesn't make it right though. I think Gray gives Leicester far more to their cause, especially going forward, than Shelvey does to ours, zero goals, zero assists or 1 assist whatever it is. Red card waiting to happen. Shagged after 60 minutes. Etc. Etc. I think you have mixed up Demarai with Andre. Think again Oh well in that case... Shelvey it is! Brilliant! I'm glad you've seen the light, HTT.

  14. 442 with Ozil and Mkhitaryan floating around the strikers, f*** all width but probably the best bet with those players. Would need to get better CMs to get the best out of it mind. Sounds a bit makeshift given the lack of pace from the two creative mids mentioned. All quality players mind so could hurt teams regardless.
  15. I personally think he would be deadly in a team who look to dominate the ball. He is a very creative passer and can visualise potentials passes that not many others could. Some of his through balls this season & last have been absolutely unbelievable, but he genuinely doesn't get the opportunity to play that way for us - he is forced to adopt a completely different mindset to the one he is most effective in. If he could focus on breaking teams down instead of always focusing on being broke down then I think he would flourish and his statistics would reflect his blatant talent.
  16. So does that mean Lacazette will be dropping out of the team to accommodate him? I can't see how they are able to play in the same 11 in Arsenal's system without playing one out of position.
  17. Those are great videos, learnt a lot. Thought Garry Monk's one was pretty insightful in terms of dealing with a team with more quality.
  18. We aren't in the championship anymore and if you think hes one of the best in the premier league youre off your rocker man I believe he is one of the best passers in the league, nothing more I can say really. It's an opinion formed whilst watching a lot of premier league football - not many even attempt the passes he does never mind pull them off on a regular basis.
  19. I think it's a shame if true, some may laugh, but imo he's one of the best passers of a ball in the league; and whilst his stats aren't anything special, his contribution in launching attacks for us will be a huge miss and is possibly being underestimated by those happy to see him the back of him.
  20. I think this is probably what he has in mind. Rafa likes different options for different matches as can be seen with our ever-changing starting 11 throughout this season. I don't think he will be bringing him in with solely one position or role in mind. I also wonder if he is thinking about a 3 at the back / 5 at the back system, utilising Kenedy and Yedlin as wing backs. Again it's an extra formational option that isn't really a possibility with Dummett or Manquillo.
  21. In terms of being used primarily as an attack minded wingback, he is. Pretty sure that's where Rafa will use him too so it's pretty fair to draw the comparison with our other attacking full back imo.
  22. Rafa bought Yedlin though didn't he? To me he just seems like a more accomplished/gifted version of him.
