  1. Tarkowski has been there for nearly 2 years yet apparently he was bought as a Michael Keane replacement. Swear some commentators just say whatever comes to mind sometimes
  2. Yep, agree with both. I think we've played the better football here and look more likely to win it than them. Draw written all over it at the same time though.
  3. Would anyone actually be disappointed with a 0-0 draw? I wouldn't that's for sure, would be a good point.
  4. Don't think it's been that bad like. Atsu has had some great moments, and we're not being dominated by any means. Solid as ever at the back, Yedlin offering a good outlet at times and could be key. Joselu must do more, I'd be reluctant to throw Gayle on too early though as I think he offers next to nothing, and against Burnley's big centre backs he will likely be invisible.
  5. We're doing okay here imo. Burnley haven't had a clear cut chance. We've played some of the better football, they're just knocking in crosses pretty ineffectively. No reason why we can't get 3 points here.
  6. Diame invisible at times for such a big bloke. Reckon we'd be controlling this with Merino in there.
  7. Looks to me product of the New Town Act, so late 40's and throughout the 50's. There's a lot similar to it up and down the country but I find the one Altamullan posted particularly interesting with the staircase leading up to the two floors above the pub itself and that bit sticking out on the left hand side. Interesting design which I find quite beautiful tbh. Looks walking distance from Ancoats which is the area of Manchester I'm most familiar with, so I'm going to get there sometime and photograph it. They're obsessed knocking 'ugly' architecture like this down at the moment, so I'm experiencing and collecting as much imagery of them as I can. Can't help wondering what your lass looks like! Nowt wrong with loving architecture man.

  9. Altamullan, where is that? Fascinating bit of architecture, that.
  10. Looking to Jonjo Shelvey to make the difference for us tonight, he's the best passer on the field by a mile, and one good moment from him could/will win us the match.
  11. We both have weakened sides here, so I'm still positive of our chances of winning the game.
  12. Aye, anyway Jamie Carragher tells a story which is quite the contrary, where Rafa is addressing the team tactically after having to take off Steve Finnan with an injury, putting Dietmar Hamann in his place on which would change the course of the game - and he actually sent Cisse out as well in the chaos of it all before realising he had sent 12 men back out.
  13. Was wondering what Rafa looked like as a player in his younger days (as you do on a Sunday night)... http://i66.tinypic.com/302whtv.jpg
  14. Thauvin is an excellent player, one who will go on to play for bigger clubs than us or Marseille. Woefully managed here and part of a terrible squad, no wonder his heart and head weren't in it. Like Morgan Sanson too, bit of a goalscoring midfielder, has all the promise of Grenier from a few year back.
  15. He's tried to do the Steven Taylor and head it on the floor. Unlucky lad, full marks for effort.
  16. Both dropped. Sandro apparently has been poor and has a shocking first touch and confidence issues. Klaassen can't replicate what made him sought after at Ajax as it's a completely different league and he's not adaptable enough. He was at his best in centre midfield, fairly deep, in Holland and obviously he's nowhere near physical or combative enough to play that over here.
