A few seasons ago we played them at home in the league cup and were drawing 0-0 and they brought David Silva on and he completely changed the game. Even though he was only on the pitch for a short period of time it was one of the best individual opposition performances I can remember at SJP it's an idea for when we have a long break, FA cup 4th round weekend maybe, create a team consisting of the best individual performaces for and against. Yaya Toure's at St James' the season they finished top and we finished 5th was exceptional. No player in the world could have stopped him from doing whatever the f- he wanted to do that day. We played class as well as I remember, they were gliding to the title by that point though, too confident for us. ...but aye, will make for a good discussion at a later day

Even though he was only on the pitch for a short period of time it was one of the best individual opposition performances I can remember at SJP Yes, when I watch him play I often get the inclination that there's not a better player in this league than David Silva. He's somehow got even better with age. A joy to watch in the truest sense of the phrase. He's largely on a wavelength of his own; he dictates and pulls the strings over what is a superb group of players. Says it all really. The way he can find seemingly acres of space on the pitch is/will be a big problem for a team like ours. We deal in very fine margins, and he deals damage in large doses. We will need luck on our side if he plays.

Sterling & D Silva are the ones I worry about most tbh. There's also a chance both of them will sit the game out, according to the City forums. This would increase our chances of a win by 0.003%. We're gonna' do it boys.

I would like to see this tried out. Or Saivet & Shelvey for alliteration reasons only.

Nice. But hand shaking seems a bit tame/ restrained for love.... how about eating his s***? I like to start at ground level and work my way up. Build the foundations. Besides, he seems a timid, quiet character and hand-shaking is great.

For some inexplicable reason I love this guy. I'd like to shake his hand, he seems to have a canny manner about him.

About on par with Leigh Griffiths record wise this season mind, not much in it. I thought he looked good a few seasons ago & fwiw he's the type of explosive, technical player I love, but it's been quiet for him this year. I'd still be pretty jealous of Brighton, but more because of them spending 18m on one player than who the player actually is.

A good bet would be for Man City to receive and penalty in the game. We concede so many, I'd like to see the comparative stats actually.

His hold up ability has been surprisingly good I think, what has been lacking is his usually composed finishes. Some really poor efforts from him yesterday leaning back when a touch of a composure would have seen him with a brace. We still look more dangerous with him on the pitch though, so until we get that much needed better striker, Gayle/Joselu is probably what it will be.

Slight knock I think, I read he was touch and go for yesterdays game so shouldn't be anything serious.

Hell I think Mehdi Abeid is ahead of Colback and he's 730 miles away in Dijon.

Still buzzing about this today. What a great game. Love Saivet too, the christmas saviour. For him to not let his head drop shows a lot to me, really hope we see more of him.

With Saivet and Diame holding it down for us? No chance.

Was made awful by Carroll's presence alone tbh. Thankfully apart from a few Masuaku moments, WHU never looked like they had it in them to find him properly.

It's a big occasion for him just to get on the pitch. Aside from the error and goal, how was he? Good overall? Excellent defensively asides from his early mistake.

Get the man a new contract. One of those 8 year Pardew specials will do just nicely.
