  1. Schar - Fernandez - Dummett at the back then. Still looks very solid to me. Schar---Fernandez---Dummett Manquillo------------------------------Ritchie ------------------Ki---Hayden----------------- ----------Perez-----------------Atsu----------- ---------------------Rondon-------------------- Meaning the only position really up for contention is Ki. Rafa might go Diame, I'd like Shelvey.
  2. Is he not a bit too good looking to be playing darts? I'd shag him like.
  3. Missed this Rafael van der Vaart to make his darts debut next month. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/darts/47969274
  4. Aye, was going to say £3m would be a steal £15m+ and we'd be better served using the funds elsewhere.
  5. Kenedy is a good player who simply didn't manage to get going this season after his bad form early on. I certainly don't think he's as bad as had been made out at times; he was expectional for us last year however for £30m, £20m or even £15m - our money can be spent elsewhere on the squad where it's really needed.
  6. He's a little genius isn't he. Wonderful player. Special player, so enjoyable to watch. The way he moves, positions he takes up, final delivery. Got the lot.
  7. The team who have Bernardo Silva will win it as he’s the best player in the league this season.
  8. I'd like Galtier from Lille but given that they will be playing CL football next season we probably couldn't lure him. Edit: Just realised you're probably asking who would imminently take over as caretaker manager? Fuck knas, Jamaal Lascelles.
  9. So atmosphere IE. passion doesn't play a part in a game of football? I'll add a few more key elements of football which cannot be quantified... Leadership, determination, spirit, tenacity, drive... I've seen football matches won by those qualities many times.
  10. Agreed. Too much emphasis on stats nowadays. Becoming far too Americanised in the sense that their popular sports rely heavily on stats for analysis. How do you quantify heart, passion, flair etc? You don’t.
  11. I have to say, as much as I'm all for smaller clubs getting results against the bankrolled heavy hitters, and the necessity for the smaller clubs to close the gap somehow (by way of tactics etc.), the way in which Burnley went about it was ugly and unsporting. Not great to see and even had me hoping Chelsea would nick it late on and I certainly have no love for Chelsea FC.
  12. I disagree. He's a classic second striker, a role pretty popular in a lot fo Europe's top teams today, Spurs for instance play with one, sometimes Dele Alli. He would offer them more in that role than Alli does - not saying Spurs will come in for him like, but I think he could hold his place down in teams far bigger than us.
  13. I'll give it till the 65th minute, whilst he stares blankly at the demise of his £500m team.
  14. Brighton will produce a much better showing buoyed by their draw and clean sheet against Wolves. Expect a fairly even game with us winning 2-1 or 1-0.
  15. What's the chances of them seeing who is available over the summer to replace Ole? Have to be losing some faith in him now...
  16. Think you would be asking your keeper to stop that Sigurdsson effort mind. Although I've only seen it in real-time.
  17. 2 nice Everton goals. Operation Goodison Exercise > Operation Ole
  18. Harsh for the ref to deport him like. Usually sending to the stands is enough.
  19. Yedlin is a likeable character and often uses his pace well on the recovery (although maybe that's down to him being out of position in first place), however I think going forward, Manquillo is a better fit for that position in our system. That said, 2 new starting full backs are necessary, but if we were to have one back up on that right side, my pick would be Manquillo.
  20. Had a very good first half. Superb work rate and a constant thorn in their side. Had a decent effort early on coming inside from the left which was well saved by Gunn. Just needs to settle down a bit occasionally as he seems to play at 100mph, but the composure will come - hopefully not at the cost of his explosiveness as it's a real asset to us and undoubtedly scares the opposition.
