If he is refusing to play then that is a clear breach of contract, he should be held accountable, not paid and put on gardening leave without wages for the remaining 3 years. The FA, Premier league, Uefa and Fifa should be 100% behind us on this or there would be the potential for the whole system to breakdown and people walk out on contracts left, right and center and while clubs are investing millions in players the while house of cards will fall down and clubs go tits up don't get me wrong the whole system is way out of control and the money involved stupid but you can't have one person smash the while thing up because he has spat his dummy out, any reforms would have to be agreed on by the whole football network or it would be chaos.

That is my big fear with the way the window is going. It is obvious we are going to struggle next season if we don't get players in so if we finish outside Europe next year who leaves next, our young full backs, our Italian stallion, our Brazilian captain?, we are then back into the middle of the pack territory and will have an even bigger rebuild required. This summer is going to be the one that makes us or breaks us for the next few years and at this point it is not looking good.

Without been all doom and glume as there are a couple of weeks before the season starts, not that much will change, but I can see this up coming season as another missed opportunity and a one step forward 3 back type thing. We are going to go in to the season understaffed on the playing side with morale low, additional games in Europe and question marks over our ability to manage the schedule after last time. Yasir has got to sort this out and put some long term leadership in place, we can't keep turning over CEO's etc every 12 months. There needs to be some kind of review and as a result of this closed season the "project" is going to take a hammering and we are going to fall further years behind plan.
