If the players are that religious why don't they do their praying or crossing themselves in private? Why does it have to be in front of tens of thousands of strangers. You see when people use this as an argument for preferring Pickford for England makes absolutely zero sense. Let's say Pickford has three or four shocking performances for his club (which happens regularly) then has a great game in England's next game, is he undroppable because of his one good performance? Does that mean Pickford can have an awful season for Everton but still retain his international place because "he's great for England"? It makes a mockery of the selection process if that's the case.

Anyone who prefers Pickford over Pope at this moment in time are clueless and/or a mackem.
