Isn’t that first one one of the games grobbelaar got fingered for fixing? -
Toney is the obvious choice. Scoring for fun in an average side. Grafter and young with experience at the top level and he’s served his time in the lower leagues so he can handle a fucking kicking. In the right hands he could be a fucking machine.
-
My first memory is the 1974 cup final. We were shit. I can’t recall anything approaching this season. All due respect to KK but this was a bigger task. And it’s not just based on emotion and brilliant man management. The future is very fucking bright.
-
And that last point is the one that needs to be remembered. It wasn’t that long ago that folk booed Bobby Robson when we finished 5th. Fucking 5th. Classic example of not knowing what you’ve got til it’s gone. There’ll be spoilt fuckers whinging in no time.

Thoroughly satisfying afternoon of association soccer. Leisurely dog walk in the woods with five live to keep me company. Splendid stuff.

I do love a bit of panic. -
do you apply that same logic to Andrew Saxe-Coburg Gotha? He paid off his accuser too. Well, we did. He’s never been to court. We all know he’s dodgy though.
-
The ball to set Almiron away nigh brought a tear to my eye. The back spin he put on it so it hung there for him to control with his head. Just fucking amazing.
-
This one doesn’t get the recognition it deserves- overshadowed by the screamer vs Everton (same season) but the technique on this is remarkable
-
Peter Withe vs Fucknose in the 70’s on my way back to the east stand paddock with a cup of hot bovril that got splashed on my hand after he scored a screamer.

Incorrect. Kilcline. -
The positive here is that the new manager bump might let them overtake the scouse mackems.

Most tics are secondary to other things. Real Tourette’s is very rare. ADHD would explain his.
-
He’s a textbook example of an adult with adhd. When he was playing football and had some structure in his life and a means of burning his energy off he was in he perfect situation. When he stopped he sank like a stone. one of the benefits of adhd is being able to do things without hesitation which works like a charm for a footballer like him. I reckon T-Rex Pickford is adhd to. He makes stupid mistakes when he has time to think but when he just needs to react he’s brilliant. It takes ADHD to stick your tongue out during the national anthem in the World Cup semi final in front of billions.

Being a middle aged owld twat, one of the things I’m acutely aware of is the peril of saying exactly the same things about youngsters as my parents generation said to me. Just saying.

I know the lad on the right. He’s a tattooist and did a half sleeve cover up for me. Wor lass managed the studio he worked at a couple years back. He’s a good lad. A bit daft but no more so than all of us in our 20’s. Great tattooist too. he thought the picture getting such a big profile was funny as fuck.

Anybody suggested live and let pie yet? -
One of the English teachers at blaydon comp was known as pineapple heed. He used to her quite upset about it. Probably a really nice fella on reflection. Just had to deal with barely civilised kids.

Scalded my hand with hot bovril coming back from the kiosk in the east stand paddock when Peter Whithe got on the end of a long ball and rifled it into the leazes net. No clue what the game was. Can’t remember who we played in my first match. I do remember some naughty lads getting off the train at blaydon and hoying stones at the windows as it pulled away though.

Sticking by my new Ketsbaia opinion previously posted. A bit more Ben Arfa in his execution at times but he promises much and doesn’t live up to the hype. In a couple of seasons he’ll either have been pedalled or he’ll be a squad player.
