    Kevin Keegan

I was only 15 but remember the doubt creeping in when we lost 2-0 West Ham, followed by that mad 3-3 at Man City, points dropped against poor relegation threatened teams. Next game was Man Utd on the Monday night, still haven’t watched that game back, just remember relentlessly battering them for 45 minutes and somehow couldn’t beat Schmeichel then we fell for the sucker punch and everything changed. The run-in was absolute torture, Man Utd seemingly always playing and winning before we had kicked a ball just piled on the pressure. Blackburn loss hurt the most, total gut punch that we never recovered from, still can’t get over how we were 5 minutes away from grinding out a huge 3 points and ended up on the floor with nothing. We stood applauding the players on their lap of honour after the Spurs game and my dad said to me ‘you’ll never see us come this close to winning it ever again’, I didn’t believe him at the time but I’ve never forgotten.
  2. I absolutely despised Pardew and didn’t think anyone would compare to his levels of ineptitude, incompetence and patronising bullshit but this fucking clown is pushing him a close second.
  3. He’s took his game to a ridiculous new level. Never in a million years did I think he’d be dropping deep and creating goals like a prime Hoddle.
  4. Maybe we were too deep? You are the fucking manager, Steve. You have the authority to change how we play but it was apparent from day one you don’t have the ability. Coward.
  5. Fuck off Jenas. Gone from piping off Bruce before the game to now he sees why the fans might feel they way they do. We are this shit every fucking week man.
  6. Beaten before a ball is even kicked. Bruce alluded to it before the game when he said Chelsea are scoring goals, not conceding goals, had 75% possession and were dominant in their last few games and he expected more of the same. Inspirational stuff.
  7. I have known Steve for many years as a friend and colleague. Yes, he’s strong and forthright in his views which is one of his great assets. I have never seen his team bully any other team. He is also empathetic and incredibly kind. Having worked closely with Steve, he is totally dedicated to football. His energy, work ethic, passion, dedication, clarity of vision & iron will are all a huge asset to our country. We are lucky to have him. #istandwithsteve  Thought ‘I’ve never seen his team bully any other team’ would have given it away. Look forward to Jenas and Cole forming a square around the Brucester

    Sunderland

Angry man just wanted to give the city “something it had never seen before” ....... Tables and chairs on a roof. Thankfully the 19k rent will be pumped back into the region

No transfer windows back then. Hall says he went to Keegan and told him we should sign a centre half, rumour was Hendry but KK said no, we started the run with Howey, Peacock and Albert and we were finishing with them. He was right too, as mentioned earlier the goals drying up from Sir Les and Bobby Lee, the injury to Gillespie and Ginola going off the boil is what really cost us.
  11. Parry saying it’s commendable that the ‘big 6’ got together and doesn’t see a problem with cutting the rest of the clubs out as they’ve not done anything about the situation in 25 years. He’s been contradicting himself at every turn about EFL debt and government hand outs too. Utter cunts.
  12. I guess finishing rock bottom of the ‘big six’ then making the heady heights of 3rd is tremendous progress for the ‘biggest club in the world’. Liverpool and City must be terrified.
  13. Lose at home Protect McTominay Save Ole
  14. One of the best away days, 3-1 down to a really good Leeds side and having the character to come back, that after winning at 3-1 at Arsenal a few days earlier. Feels a million miles away from what we are now. Was absolute carnage in the away end when Nobby scored, we ended up about 10 rows away from our seats hugging strangers. To cap it off we saw Nobby in the Vineyard that night, bought him a bottle of red to say thank you. Nicest bloke you could ever meet. What a fucking day.
  15. Remember Artur Numan and Jaap Stam looking quality, especially Numan.
  16. Him and Darlow are never away from Longhirst, unsurprisingly uses a golf buggy to get around!
  17. Fucking dreadful watch. After looking dangerous for the first 15 minutes, Wolves have ran out of ideas. I’m sure we’ll gift them a goal though.
  18. 4th choice midfielder under Benitez. 1st choice even when injured, making him an even bigger liability under Bruce. Nice new bumper contract too, no wonder he loves life under Shithouse Steve and the Second Rate Steve’s.
  19. Graham Hunter is fucking painful as a commentator like.
  20. Sergio Shithouse doesn’t miss pens
  21. The fixture every team struggling for form wants .... Newcastle United. Comfortable home win. If Darlow and Hayden are out then a 3 or 4 goal win.
  22. But he’s dead canny and asks the players how they are doing every morning.
