This is our Grant Hanley! 20 million pounds seems like a lot but there's a few positives, namely he can score in this league, it weakens a rival and he's (hopefully?) in for Watford. I would hope this isn't our only striker, but it's far from disappointing. If you want disappointment, I just realised after 40 minutes the oven was only on 50 degrees instead of 200, now that's disappointment.

Let's just buy a whole B team from someone. Buy Man City's or Chelseas and be done with it. One sweeping wholesale change. I can't possibly see why another club wouldn't agree to that... In regards to signings, we need so much change, I don't mind signing a few necessary Grant Hanleys along with some 'superstars'. Come one come all as far as I'm concerned; it would be really difficult to sign someone that wouldn't improve this squad.

Aye. I think it's far too early to be judging Howe. There is systemic rot from top to bottom, thanks to both Ashley and Bruce. There's no way you can just undo awfulness that was Bruce in so short a time.

Absolutely. For me, this shows how just how deep the rot is thanks to Bruce. The players have to be held accountable but Bruce just compounded every bad attitude and application on display. I doubt some players will ever shake it.

That's a fair point. With our bad start and our bad luck, I lean more towards us going down (but my expectations have been battered for the last 10+ years ) I hope we do get a couple of wins and build some momentum.

There's no doubt PEA is absolutely class, but we need more than just ability to have a chance of staying up. We need players with ability, AND mental strength AND something to prove AND if possible, experience. It's a massively tall order and there's probably only a handful of players that have that profile. We need to find them, pay over the odds to get them, and keep our fingers crossed we don't get relegated.
