Captain Steak Bakes (now managing Blackpool/revising history)
Wolfcastle replied to David Edgar's topic in Football
."They are up in the top half of the table and they were in the play-offs last year. " As were West Brom when you arrived you cretin "For two and a half years, this club has been difficult. It hasn't had the results the supporters want to see' A year of that was in the Premier League, he's been the manager for most of the rest of it, and the bit that's left they were 5th and obviously winning plenty its like every team he drops his side behind just gives him an excuse, in fact he probably prefers it to the pressure of playing a team below him -

Its better to be thought of as not knowing what you're doing, than to manage 1030 games and remove all doubt -

I'd rather hear Man United fans sing 'to see Matt Busby's aces' than that version of the Blaydon Races. Taking the catchy, upbeat tempo out takes it essence out. Its like someone reading a poorly punctuated song. Hoy it. -

I wonder if Exile could tell us since he knows everything (that suits his narrative) about what's going on there, how many lives have been saved by the government invited Saudi and co involvement. Howay man exile, log off adultwork and find out for us *also wasn't he posting this stuff throughout the ceasefire that ended last week? did he even know there was one?

They remind me of Swindon but with players good enough to get away with it. Were so consistently vividly the better team in most games (Brighton, Man City, Liverpool the exceptions this season) - that's all the control the coaches can have, if were handed some goals by Brentford and robbed of them in other games is football being football.

Chants of "Stand up if you want Bruce out" and "You don't know what you're doing". Was horrific abuse a year ago. Is back to nothing more than a s**t manager doing a s**t job getting the sort of stick a s**t manager doing a s**t job gets. -

Literally posted in the pre match "it won't be a 5-1 and a goal from our own half disallowed like 93"
-
Only time I had an attitude like some of these was during the KK era. Even under Sir Bobby I was just happy to win and if we won and were the better team thought it was magic
-
Makes sense, some edgey games ahead. Would like everyone primed for them.

and yours onto the lasses at times I'd let him like

Amidst all this were at least as well organised defensively as I've ever seen us (Rafa).

The 10-15k that have left because of Ashley plus gloryhunters. Which will be in exces of 5,000, given there were 20,000 in 1992 increasing the gate from 21k to 36k with 10k on the waiting list - and football has grown exponentially since then.

'he's got you to a quarter-final, two games away from a final' versus replays against Oxford and Rocdhale, penalties over Newport and a game against Morecambe. I like to think its chilidish cynical argueing and these people know better. But can't be sure. -
General NUFC stuff: club crest to be changed (Official)

Like one of them Bond reunions. Should have it on Reunion Island so Laurent doesn't have to track back. As it stands it reminds me of Britney and Madonna kissing. -
Newcastle United vs. Brentford: 8/10/22 @ 3pm (No UK TV)

Hope there's a mindfulness still baring in mind it was against 10 last week and despite dominating most games we still struggle to score. Its not going to be 5-1 and disallowed goal from our own half like 93. That game last season with these shredded me. -
My experience is such. Wasn't interested enough to rub it in during the utter dominances of the 90s and Sir Bobby-Ashley era. Just seemed redundant. Like now would recognise a couple players at best. Title challenges, entertainers, champions league, cup finals, beating Barcelona/Juventus, world transfer record broken felt like nothing compared to their finishing a couple points ahead of us in midtable playing rancid football in terms of gloating. I kinda regretted not hammering them with weaponary 10x anything they'll ever have but am making the same mistake all over again. They're lucky they so quickly become insignificant and that being in the second tier is generally seen as par for the course and not notworthy.

I even laughed at the thread title on wbaunofficial.org.uk about him "Worst manager ever?" https://wbaunofficial.org.uk/showthread.php?tid=26950 -
Maintained a 'believe it when I see it' mindset and couldn't get invested in anything between Moat in 09 and Staveley for a month after that Liverpool game in 2017 which got me I admit until falling into a familiar pattern. If the takeover was blocked I was done with the club, since if this didn't shift him nothing would and I couldn't partake in trying to root for an entity I knew wasn't trying whose any success was only going to maintain the cycle. Was on here and there following updates when it was announced and still couldn't believe it fully. So never really had a eureka moment thanks to all the bull that had gone before. More a gentle satisfaction that produces a warm smile that still pervades to this day of caring about all this again cos it matters now. Relegation and promotion meant nothing to me before. Then I'm rattling watching through my fingers games against Norwich.

"do you expect to be in charge on Saturday?, what are yo..."well I hope so (agitated) that's for other people that, I'm not going to get into that converation" - he jumped into that conversation before the bloke even finished the question. He might have been about to ask 'what are you watching on TV at the moment". He tried to end that interview at least 3 times before it ended, tailing off nicely. Knows all the tricks at least when it comes to making it easier on himself -

I'd sleep better if we could get Huddersfield and Coventry's games caught up, to give a truer reflection of his fraudulency -

7 wins in 37 games. At championship level 7 wins in 31 games. The only debate should be whether this is a scandal or not, not whether he's good or not. That's got to be it for the Cider Hag now surely. -

With the end nigh I've been starting to feel like I'll miss this (like that last day of school before Xmas/Summer) and can see why some of us are okay with ceeding the odd result to him to elongate his demise but we can always invest in his replacement doing much better as a side order, so so be it
