Almost like an alibi to run things the way he always intended or something isn't it. Wouldn't take a Leicester reserve on loan unless they paid most of his wages, but would definitely not do due dilligience on the biggest purchases he'd ever make.

This Azmoun only has to be an upgarde - never seen him play but he is an upgrade on someone out of position or at best a seldom fit, past his sell by date forward that was borderline at this level on his best day.

All the machinations are so dull that adding more fuel to that fire just gives me a headache now as at best it seems like it'll take ages to get done. Like waiting for VAR to give a decision. Between the link/incident I just want to f**k off for a slash and hope its all sorted when i come back.

Think Cantwells and Woods keep us in the orbit of relegation regardless of who the manager is. They're an improvement on what we have but could make a case for their needing to be replaced themselves if were thinking about next level - midtable. Think were going to need a lot better than that to stay up and prefer to think of Wood as an unforeseen move due to Wilson's injury. Alls were going off really on the richest club/richest owners distinction is comments made by a number of people involved in the ownership that maybe pre-dated the sponsorship blocking so nobody really knows where we stand.

The chances of beating Aston Villa in February have actually diminished lately, fair to say I wasn't banking on that

Derby Cunty Will have to call it OvenPride Park if Ashley and Bruce both fetch up there. Remember qualifiying for the champions league at their ground whilst relegating them, shame they don't, or the relegations and relegation battles that suddenly emerged six years later when Ashley arrived.

Because it goes without saying about all the other players, who everyone knows aren't up to it. Mighty-Mag, think what it was was teams playing differently against Ginola in that second season and later in 95/96 - first few months were a bombardment of crosses for Ferdinand from both flanks. Didn't fire the same service in at Spurs either - even when winning player of the year. -
Newcastle United 0 - 1 Cambridge United (08/01/2022)

We did more today than we did against Oxford h, Newport a and Rochdale a under Bruce (the lucky b*stard) it has to be said, also has to be said Goliath beat David on merit points, play a striker (if we had a striker) we'd have won. Crushed any hope i had against Watford though, because there's not much else we can do without signings, to say nothing of staying up. -

Hear Alan Hansen and "percentages" when I watch ASM. Got to think that's why he's here via St Etienne. Like Le-Tissier - the chance of winning games versus the chance of being a liability needs weighed up. There's nobody we could leave him out for so its a moot point for us but he's more flatter to decieve than performer. Know what you mean but chalk and cheese end product - Ginola was a supply machine and at worst at least capable of being a supply machine. Actually the best example I can think of is Mirandinha. Hope it doesn't have the same end result. -
Not just that, but Everton classy? I actually think of Liverpool has having a lot more class, despite the success and Everton as being very low down the scale generally. Despite being distinctly second best in their derbies, never wanted them to win, whereas I'd always wanted Man City to beat Man United when they were in the same boat.

On the other hand, its a lot easier for an angry mob to descend on the place. Imagine the scenes if SD HQ had been Shiremoore instead of Shirebrook. Would have been settlements there.

I wished that same fate on us many a time instead of perpetual Ashley. Still don't see it. He'd have to squeeze a club like that so much harder than he ever did us to get his money and there just isn't enough left to squeeze - even in normal circumstances - and being able to maintain their status/Ashley's current funding.

Must have been uneasy for Holt to sit their watching the boxing a few years back. Or maybe because it suited him it was perfectly okay. Makes him a bigger c**t than someone who says they're not really that bothered. Prentending to be bothered now it threatens him. Or is he too thick to realise things happened in Saudi before he wet his beak?

I miss deluded world of RTG - the snippets he gave spared you the twilight zoney full-on RTG experience. Some crackers echo-chamber comment every day was preferrable to seeing how every Newcastle fan is a rape condoner now and people with names like RokerMackem's 13 out of the last 14 posts were on the NUFC thread and the other on the PS3 one, obviously with a name like that the last thing you'd be interested in on your own clubs forum is your actual own club.

Failing to grasp the concept that support is not limited to a full stadium of 52k - like only a person who supports a club with a ground far too big for its support could
-
Why just sky? The mackems entire division gets mentioned for 5seconds on Sports report and Quest only shows a 1' of them within a divisional round up. Its almost like there's a league system in place that dictates relevance or something

Baring in mind covid and potential injuries far better off keeping him on the off chance - only sense it would make is what they've apparently tried to do, use it as a gateway to a player were interested in.

Pearson's like a characterless young owld Stevie

Hopefully 2022 will be Une Estate Italiana - Spinazzola and Chiesa OMFG yes. (Vlahovic too btw)
-
He's waited for us long enough the poor bloke.

A lot of the players struggling under Ossie stepped up under Keegan despite the influx of international quality players and a higher level. Howey, Elliot, Watson, Pav - Clark held his own and Nielsen whenever called upon likewise. We thrashed Coventry 4-0 in the PL with a back-four of Elliot, Watson, Nielsen and Appleby plus Pav that was concedeing 9 goals in two games at Tranmere 2years previously Jo's showing it can be done.

Might even have been Woodgate, how he passed any medical is anybody's guess

Wheez dein this medical, Charnley?!
