You'd think being so aware of what goes on the middle east they'd know that, but no. Makes you wonder if they might just be hideously wrong about other things.

Aye, that's them. The classic 'they always hound out managers except for all the ones they dont whom they're wrong not to hound out' never wrong mackem logic

Emery won the Europa League but teams only win that because the mackems weren't invited I heard.
  4. Certainly when I think about it, I recall no good Martinez footballing display against us over the years. Not Allardyce/Bruce stuff by any stretch of the imagination but nothing that stood out as being anything at all. The cup final however seemed very well managed in his defence but he's not applied it since that I've seen. He'd be/have been a step forward for us, but I think its an appointment we could have made under Ashley, so should be beyond that now.
  5. Yes. We should remember that the undue calmness and bed-wetting debate has replaced not caring about losing, getting relegated and knowing that whoever the head-lackey is really makes no difference at all. Every other post woul have been 'who gives a f**k?' a month ago
  6. If how flat I'd feel going into Brighton without changes is anything to go by, it can't be good for the team. The only thing flatter than that and the inevitable rotten game from our point of view would be not bringing in Schar, Dubs, Fernandez, Miggy and even Willock and/or Hendrick who have little to none on them from the last few weeks. Wholesale changes to the team is the best we can do and hope to see something.

Whilst they think it inarguably, undeniably and seamless that Washington, despite the 'ton' bit of the name meaning 'town' and being originally called 'Washington New Town' as in it was a new town, a town unto itself or its NE postcode and size became and is part of sunderland from some unbeknownst point so the baby could have its bottle, but anything much beyond Northumberland street is wrongful apropriation.
  8. If we could get Benitez whilst owned by Ashley and in the relegation zone with 2months to go AND convince him to stay on, under Ashley in the championship. Why not?
  9. With a different manager, especially in the circumstances of that game. I think Spurs is winnable for anybody generally, except us and Norwich.
  10. But we've stopped monitoring planes. So slowly slowly catchy monkey
  11. People's calmness at the situation makes me more panicy than the panic. Were second bottom, playing terrible going into November. The only thing that's different about our situation to anybody else, including us, that's ever been in this situation and been duly concerned is the laurel of a takeover. Which wont effect the playing stuff for at least a couple more months and nobody knows to what extent. The only way it doesn't get worse is via a new manager.
  12. Newcastle fan suggesting Bruce as a replacement for Nuno, citing all the reasons that were given for why he should stay with us, was branded as 'sarcastic' on talksport. *amidst a stream of Nuno out, time's up, got to go comments without any suggestion its unreasonable. 10games.

Heard their keeper describe QPR and Loftus Road thus "to come to places like this, that are big clubs" ?! He continued to damn by faint praise "the only other time the atmosphere was like this was Wembley and the play-offs" - its a wonder how 2nd bottom Charlton penetrated fortress Estadio Da Luz

Every time these get beat in that league they kick off. All that heat with Portsmouth, bother last week against Charlton, bother with Fleetwood/Barton, heated rivalry with Coventry bother a few years ago, behaving like pigs in London, bother with Lincoln, hoying coins at Rotherham. Cue some article about how great they are to eternal-sunshine-of-the-spotless mind this weeks scummery 5-1 at Rotherham in divsion 3, f*cks sake, new low for the north-east, thanks a bunch sc*mc*nts
  15. "None Newcastle fans don't like manager and boo team off shocker"
  16. We wont beat Brighton, will be lucky to rob a draw without a new manager. Then we really have to beat Brentford, easier said than done, pressure on us. New manager by Brighton 6.5, no new manager for Brighton 7.5, no new manager within days of Brighton 8.5
  17. Chelsea were better a few years ago, post, bar, and we fluked a win. Same lifting performance from us but the luck has ran out. As we all said it would.
  18. Terry Venables had Bryan Robson in as a coach. Think he's the only manager with a worse PL record than Bruce. So that stands for me. Its almost like a foil more than anything else.
  19. Absolutely. Its the most basic plan someone can think of every time. Men behind the ball and hope. Same against Palace. Its the sort of tactics people trying to blag by would come up with, scrape by tactics. Remember a game we lost to Chelsea under Roeder, he kept it tight with the intent of going for it in the last 25' which we did, could see the work that went into it. Was expecting more that from Jones than just carring on Bruce's echo
  20. And this too. No change at all. Like Carver replacing Pardew. When Roeder was promoted from within it was from the youth team and was effecitvely a new voice, new ideas, new start. This is just d1cking around.
  21. Absolutely right mate. Otherwise Brentford becomes the new Brighton/experiment and that's two games down to bog we can't afford to flush.

    The old days

That was two games from the end when we were already behind, so it wasn't that.

Asprilla - no absoluitely not for me. Just did an article on the Mag that mentioned this yesterday actually. Man of the match against West Ham (goal and two beautiful assists), goal and assist at Liverpool, superb assist v Spurs, goal and beautiful assist at Man City, wins the game for us at Boro. Not bad for 3months work. The gap was 1pt after we battered Man United - this was Tino's first home game so he can't have been responsible for the 12pt lead falling (especially considering he got us 4points at Boro and Man City). Hate to say it but - Ferdinand, Ginola and Lee all massively went off the boil. Whilst Gillespie's injury was cited at the time imbalancing the side.
  24. If we knew or they said they'd have a new manager by Brighton or just after I doubt anybody would be overly concerned. Its the vaccum really that's causing this I reckon. The not knowing where we stand in terms of trajectory or organisationally. There's still a tendency, I do it, to go back to the Dogs of War vibe for a club to get out of trouble, though its probably not the case in modern football Martinez feels like the total opposite of that. The things he's known for, his plusses will not be achievable with these players and in the situation were in, in this time frame. Don't see any point at all in him until the end of the season.
