  1. Didn't care for that at all. Like one of our horror 1-1 draws with Wolves from days of yore
  2. Keeper knows the shots coming and just tried t ocover space rather than the shot - Schmeichel starfish style without the luck of it hitting him and staying out
  3. Needed to go one more to the guy on the left, don't bother mentioning it though Murphy
  4. He'd have needed a towel if he could have managed Skuhravy or Koller
  5. Its like a shitter version of the Euro 96 game *which was shit iirc
  6. Stupid arguement - could say the same about Greame Souness (2 cups in England) and I'd argue he wasn't just shite but one of the worst managers to ever manage. Ruined a decades long dynasty at Liverpool but won a cup
  7. Feel exactly the same. Just my cup of tea but thats an artistry judgement rather than based on how effective he is
  8. Those 96 and 2000 first and secondary impressions still linger for me with Portugal despite seldom having enjoyed watching them since.
  9. Cant see that. Am a bit sorry his network isn't pushing him for the Mackem job as there'd be a chance their ownership could go for it
  10. Di Matteo won the champions league.
  11. Aye. Did everything right. Found someone with promise, signed him for a modest fee, loaned him out to get experience and battle-test him and get him ready for your team everything thus far has worked out, a club can do no more right than that.....but are forced to sell player for new legislation only
  12. Cant get vexxed at that start whilst mindful of the extra bit of pressure on to win with it being statistically the best fixture especially whilst harbouring high hopes
  13. Seemed to be really comfortable and proud of the law whereas its probably loathed by football people is the conflict.
  14. Absolutely nothing in that but was every bit as "bad" as the booking on the keeper
  15. Thing is with this format I don't think you can judge teams this early, nobody has to be full pelt or panic stations - especially with the amount of average or worse teams kicking about
  16. Especially in an FFP world. Zero sell on value and a couple years out of him.
  17. Maybe by the letter of the law, don't think that's being argued so much as that the letter of the law is shit. So Belgian TV and VAR criticts are both right. By the same token a hell of a lot of historic goals get ruled out now that nobody has really questioned since
  18. Exactly, for me. Even after seeing multiple super slow motion close up replays it is and will continue to be debatable.
  19. Sad technicalities in modern football have that as worthy of being overturned after a delay and this as a big upset - a completely average team beating an average team with a couple of potential variables. Naked eye stuff was so much better and more accurate in many cases. *technically and officially a bigger upset than Denmark late replacements for Yugoslavia winning the tournament by beating the defending European and reigning World Champions to do it
  20. Guileless and uncreative as f**k Belgium. Just try to score through bludgeoning, Not just here but the World Cup too. Be glad when this generation is completely broken up and they can start over.
  21. Can't remember the last time I experience a non-shit performance by Lukaku or Tyldsley.

    England

Its spread now of course. I think if those people were in/from any country they'd find a reason to hate it or be ashamed, embarrassed about something - all the same justifications would be there, so wonder if its about any given country or just an attitude in which there's ironically more snobbery and condescension than in the people they criticise to be able to be so embarrassed. Saying that, I don't support the English national team (in football) and don't like England fans for amongst other things their boring long since unwitty songs, glory hunting attracting and mackem-esque turn-on-the-team-ability.
