Was already uncomfortable with the money we were willing to pay for him. I'd be disappointed if we got him for that now. There has to be better value available.

I'd be leaking rumours of hijacking it even if we've absolutely no interest at all

Yeah! more than had enough of this bollocks now and were rimming not-worth-it territory anyway that it feels like a trying so hard to get something only to feel a bit disappointed by it is waiting in the wings.

Must be a London thing, Sheringham and Jordan had the young hair on corpse look too.
  5. Seen in the papers yesterday it was referred to as "Villa's gamble" as if they've just not strengthened for the shit and giggles of it
  6. Not only one of the hardest, but one of the most boring cup draws possible. Nothing different, refreshing, interesting. Wont be much fun either way. No game there ever is. Can only imagine what any subsequent draws will be.

If Palace are turning down 65m for him then he's there for life unless he runs his contract down, which he wil
  8. Harrogate at home would be cool. Haven't had Blackburn in a cup game for all over 6month so were due another one.
  9. out in the preliminary round three years in a row, Sunluns a massive club
  10. Seen SSN do a single papers round up that linked us to both Ronaldinho and Cannavaro in the early days of Ashley.
  11. It would feel 2nd choicey but would probably strengthen the squad a little bit more if anything
  12. Yes but it does seem like they need to sell, so there is that too
  13. Andersson was an improvement on what had gone before with Tomasson and Rush, though Rush worked really hard. He was very fast but negated it by not being able to do anything once he got there, and by the time he'd controlled the ball and done something with it we'd have been better off having someone slow get there. Hell! between Tomasson, Dalglish junior, Gudjohnsson, Guivarch, Brady and Rush Andersson was probably the least shit forward Dalglish signed
  14. I don't remember him being particularly bad at all but Terry Wilson was subbed off in Keegan's first game as manager and never seen again, might even have been at half-time iirc and we went on to win comfortably without him.

Would be nice. Would be a lot of money only in the new rules context but more of an investment in the context of not needing to do anything with the defence for many seasons to come.
  16. Problem is very few of us care enough or know enough about them to have the sort of debate Teddy wants and this thread is more for a laugh and flag up of the fantasises RTG in particular come up with and the odd titter at their results/performances. I haven't seen them play other than against us for many-a-year. Its not to be taken personally. As for the craic on here being dire, you cant even begin to have a reason debate on RTG about us in any aspect without sad wankers going 'sportswashed' despite said sad wankers following every single game we play.
  17. Wenger lost at Bradford so the comparison still stands.
  18. In a inferior league for a dominant team, wonder if you switched them around if that stats would stay the same, suspect very much not
  19. That's it. Reminds of the Viz celebrity cunt series where somebody supposedly has a run in with a celebrity and cuts a witty jibe on them or otherwise intimidates them but always the celebrity is the cunt in the circumstance and the narrator a hard as nails stand up guy. Just those were made up for a laugh and the mackem ones are made up for masterbatory and pain soothing material.
  20. Players have had better pre-seasons than this on the back of a good season and Holland be raved about as absolute nailed on certs to light up the league but go on to be absolutely terrible. People handled selling Gascoigne better than this.
  21. The alternatives would have been to not bother trying to compete above mid-table and taking a 10point deduction instead of selling a player we'd likely have loaned out this season. People moaning about the current situation could have filled their boots with that
  22. don't hate the player hate the game Were through the looking glass now though, where people are chomping at the bit to have clubs deducted points across the league and where avoiding such punishment via new arbitrary legislation is the most heinous thing imaginable
