  1. Lampard would have been about 14 the one year Hutchison was there, but his old man was Harry's number two.
  2. We haven't been as good as they are now since 1991 in fairness.
  3. The first thing it'll do is stub out the level of toxicity at that vile place, that's probably the best thing they could do in itself
  4. Dyche and a Joe Royle 94/95 style turn around playing brutal football. Then the momentum will wear off they'll drop back to the lower reaches and we go again
  5. Aye but that was to get a team to be a bit more expansive whilst getting the balance right, complete wholesale turnarounds in performances and results are simples.
  6. The 1-1 draw in 94/95 was more one-sided than the 5-0 too. They couldn't get out of their half in the second-half. Heck of a performance. Albert was another whose form held up in the second half of the season. Showed real desire and leadership. (*Also a title winner previously) It was harsh on Gillespie as he only came back against QPR, but he didn't perform well indiviually in those games but maybe gave balance. Remain convinced we were the better team. Not sure how many games we were second best in, maybe West Ham & Arsenal away and Liverpool at home but there wasn't much in it compared to what we did to Man United and Leeds and Liverpool twice ran rings round them and Spurs thrashed them. Nobody did that to us.
  7. Totally agree on Batty, its irrefutable really, 8-10 out of 10 every match. Gap was already 6points when he debuted. 3 by the end of his debut that we dominated. He's the last person to blame. Batty and Beardsley apart I'd argue Tino was out best player after we signed him. Won the game for us from the bench at Boro, goal and great assist at Man City, two beautiful assists and a goal against West Ham in a MOTM performance, great assist an goal at Liverpool, great assist against Spurs. Ferdinand, Ginola, Gillespie and Lee I don't think contributed as much.
  8. Kids, chill!! You're both shite
  9. With a great strike from Batty, let the record show.
  10. Don't think that's a minority view its just compared to Man United/Liverpool
  11. Still not okay with VAR fucking up moments like that
  12. Arsenal have scored more goals against Man U than they had shots against us
  13. Most of the Everton players didnt acknowledge the fans. Cant blame them after the shit they've been getting doing that and stuff last week crossed the line. A small yet possible important negative critique of Lampard's work
  14. Blackburn on for their first draw of the season (is this a record btw?)
  15. Arsenal next for Everton. Bottom versus top. Can see either story. Everton win it 1-0 or Arsenal spank them and that'll have to be it for the manager.
  16. Good result for us, still the sooner it hopefully goes tits up at Chelsea the better. Good manager and unlimited spending is bound to pay off and they're back based on that.
  17. I'd rather not with Gordon but defer to the manager/structure and accept were going to get the odd Kitson (really good player but not worth the hassle we put into it to us) under KK because the vast majority of business will be successful. Including stuff we weren't sure about. Wary of basing much on players on one season, seen a lot peter out after the flash in the pan.
  18. When I seen some bullshit about us going for him (and Brozovic) straight after the takeover, a bit dribbled out, I wont lie.
  19. They're used to 3rd division stadiums and mentalities
  20. ^ Not sure how little know that is about Cantona. It was well known the only reason he was in England was because of the chaos he caused in France. Was on trial at Sheffield Wednesday before Leeds. England wasn't a major league at the time. Certainly not liable to get French internationals by normal channels nevermind on trials. Wow! that's the first I've heard of that. Seems I was reading about an appointment or sacking somewhere or a diagnosis not long before that. Top free-kick taker and that Red Star team was special. The CL/EC final was rank but the stuff they played in the semi against Bayern is worlds above anything you'll see now.
  21. Scrunching them up and throwing them at each other, stewards and opposition players. Trouble at every game. Game liable to be more volatile than usual. Game to be televised so more people will see such behaviour. Definitely the clubs fault and not their d1ckhead support
