  1. Always the victims aren't they. Yes, there was an incorrect decision, it happens occasionally - I'd like to think that they even out over the course of a season, but we all know Liverpool get more dubious decisions go their way than not. In the grand scheme of things it doesn't really have anything to do with VAR anyway, other than if the official involved had used it correctly then the decision could have been corrected - that's a problem with the official, not VAR. As others have said, take VAR away and the decision would still have been incorrect. God I hate Liverpool and their constant whinging when they don't get their own way, such a bunch of cretinous scumbags.
  2. This season's already turned mental, the fact we beat Villa 5-1, Brighton beat us 3-1 and now Villa beating Brighton 6-1... bonkers.
  3. That's bang on for me, put into context it really does explain a lot and shows how a brief blip can be blown out of all proportion by the media.
  4. Great result tonight, a point away with all the pressure, I'd take that all day long after our start to the season. If anyone's actually moaning about that they've got to be away with the fairies, in my opinion.
  5. Did you miss the Euro final between England and Italy? They love a bit of shirt pulling over there, it's the norm, as it getting away with it.
  6. Blimey, did they just say there's only 2 Italians in the Milan team?! Wouldn't have expected that!
  7. Would be hilarious to see Murph waving one of the Milan players off the pitch
  8. The diving coming through from Milan players, to be expected I guess.
  9. Commentary on the official Newcastle United site not working? Got Talksport on now, better than nothing I suppose.
  10. I can't believe it's not on a decent tv channel that I can watch without yet another subscription! Radio for me I guess.
  11. Dude'll be getting a pigs heart in a box if he's not careful
  12. Okay, watched the first episode, I see what you mean. I'd have liked to have seen more behind the scenes stuff, going into the changes made around the club when PIF bought us. Can honestly say though that the initial bit covering the announcement of PIF buying us and the fan's reaction outside the ground on that day, definitely gave me that feeling again - to think where we were, with who owned the club and how it was run... it was a true sense of overwhelming relief on that day.
  13. That's a shame. I tried to get into the Man City All or Nothing but it just wasn't the same as the Sunderland one, I assume the Newcastle one's the same then - I mean, I'll still watch it, just, I guess it could have been better?
  14. Content, topic and bias aside, is it as good as the mackem one on Netflix? I really enjoyed that, thought it was was really well put together.
  15. Love Harps, his loyalty to us as a number two keeper when he could have easily been number one at other Prem clubs is something special. Hope he gets well soon!
  16. First game against Villa we romped it, second game against City we were pretty evenly matched and only took a slim 1-0 loss against the treble winning champions. Third game against Liverpool we somehow managed to fuck up against our bogey team while they were 1-0 down with 10 men and the fourth game we looked lifeless and poor away against a Brighton team who's been winning lots of plaudits this season and last. Should we have beaten Brighton? Probably, possibly. Liverpool is always a dicey game and City away was unlikely. On the whole I think we've had some god awful fixtures to start the season which will have dented our confidence, can we come back and have a decent season? Of course, we're only four games in with some new signings still gelling - the only worry is what such a dodgy start to the season will have on the players and whether Eddie can perhaps improve what seems to be a bit of a lack in 'plan B'... but the main thing to remember is, we're still early on in the grand plan with a team who perhaps overachieved last season - I know, it feels shit after being spoilt last season and perspective is hard to swallow in football, I for one need to remind myself of all the absolute positives and garner a bit more patience... regardless of how hard that can be. Of course, we can still point our where our failures have been... just need to give Eddie and the boys time to sort it out and get back with the programme.
  17. The players look like they're not playing for each other, no hunger, no drive. Individual errors are costing us dearly, but we haven't been running back or covering like we did last season. Bruno's been very mediocre for the last few games, in fact I'd go as far as to say the second part of last season saw him tail off, no idea why. Pope's looked suspect ever since he got that red card, the players in general look like they're waiting for the ball to come to them rather than chasing it down themselves. We're putting out what 'should' be our best eleven, it just feels like we've dropped off, like there's no spark or energy. For the record, I didn't think we played that badly against Man City and one nil against them is respectable enough, but we don't look solid enough across the board this season, even Tripps has been making some unexpected decisions and mistakes.
  18. Tbh, got to look at this as a win win for us. If we lose, we can rightly state that the opposition made it a serious group of death. If we win, we're beating top European teams. If nothing else it'll be tremendous experience for the players and fans alike.
  19. We need to make the home atmosphere like some sort of hell for the visiting teams and show no fear... ATTACK ATTACK ATTAAAAAAACK!!!
  20. Sheesh, I go away for a week and come back to Adidas returning - I loved their shirts the last time round, got some brilliant memories of those seasons.
  21. Surely you jest, it wouldn't be like a scouser to have a victim complex
  22. I think Bruno hasn't got going this season and that's been all the harder to accept with Maddison repeatedly scoring for Spurs - he would have been the Willock upgrade we needed. To be honest, it's not as if it's been an 'after the lord mayor's show' type of situation, because we've not played terribly in the last two games, but the results have hurt after our opening day win. ... of course, I'm still fucked off with yesterday's result against a team, coach and fans I absolutely despise. We need to stop showing them any respect, especially with Klopp's attitude, we should have beaten them soundly yesterday but too much second guessing and not enough aggression towards them put paid to that. They're our bogey team and I hate them.
  23. Losing against Man City didn't bother me, it wasn't that I expected it, I thought it was a decent enough game and the best team won on the day, adding in to that that Pep seems like a nice enough bloke. But losing against the media darling Scouse scumbags with their shitty players and tooth grinding arsehole of a manager, I fucking hate them, utterly hate them. I don't think there's a more fluky team that gets more help from the officials than them or has a more biased commentary following. How the fuck did we lose to that shower of shite today? Proper pissed off by this result.
