It's all confirmation bias, lots of negativity throughout the summer and not a tonne of excitement over what the club did and more a feeling of relief it was over. So I'm not surprised the reactions are what they are, don't necessarily agree with it but I'm not shocked.

From what I can tell, as long as Joelinton can last until that international break things should be fine. The concern would be if other key midfielders get hurt, but that was always the case anyway. It sucks, but I think the team should be able to get through this period without it being too catastrophic.

I can see Ronaldinho in him a little bit (mainly the facial structure in around his mouth) But having normal teeth and normal everywhere else is doing wonders.

I said this before but there's highlights on his performances for Stuttgart. That tell you what sort of player he is, ignoring his whole last season of potential tape over less than 180 minutes of football is kinda crazy.

I would think his Stuttgart highlights are much closer to what his performances will be here, not just trying to be positive but just because there is an actual plan in place in both situations unlike Germany.

Like based on the Stuttgart clips there seems to be some sort of idea behind what they did with him, obviously Howe will have a plan etc. Watching them they seem to have no game plan whatsoever and are just winging it at best.

People trying to figure out what level of player he is based on this is crazy mind If nothing else this German team play drastically differently so it's pointless to make any sort of connection.

I was thinking the same thing, go through all that farce of Chelsea cancelling then ultimately letting him go only for a Bayern legend (even if he's clearly a massive cunt) to publicly show absolutely zero belief in you.

No idea if true but according to the replies they both had their picture taken with a fan and the fan was cropped out. If true someone was clearly trying to cause exactly this reaction.

Knicks are historically huge but yes on court they've been mostly a disaster until recently (they're good rn) and tbf during the period he was actually working there I think it mostly coincided with their current position of being good. So if anything that reflects positively on him that the only real period of consistency since the 90s that they've had and he was working there while it happened.

Reaction is a bit weird mind, actively listening to the people around him is what a leader should be doing. I'm sure he did his homework during the process but for things like this you will do a lot of your learning on the job. Seems a natural thing to me.

Oh I don't disagree, I was actually going to mention how huge it is so i'm probably being unfair but decided not to Sometimes I miss it tbf, mainly because there's just a lot more going on there than where i'm currently living.

As someone who lived there for like 15 years I think it's a mixed bag. Some parts are really, really nice and some parts i'd rather just forget exist I don't think i've been anywhere that felt like such a whiplash.

Hell with Haaland, the amount of really dumb stuff I read over the years over Ibrahimovic due to some average performances against some English sides in one off CL games
