  1. Kid Icarus

    Harvey Barnes

The one player who looks absolutely on it this season.
  2. I think that would have needed a performance rather than just a result to say for certain, but hopefully you're right.
  3. Don't blame him for his performances at the moment. On the ball he's still obviously quality, but he's being targeted, isn't getting the support he needs, and we're playing to his weaknesses. Even then he scored and should have had a pen.
  4. You'd hope so, but I'd also argue that the growing concern (not toxicity) isn't limited to the fans either.
  5. Like I say I thought he was solid but had some big mistakes that put us in danger, and scored an own goal.
  6. Kid Icarus

    Anthony Gordon

Either taken us pimping him out to heart, understandably, or sulking because he wanted the move. Another situation that feels like self sabotage
  7. Thank fuck. Incredibly lucky papering over the cracks result. Not a good performance and not a good feel about us at the moment. Hopefully the result, us being on a run, and the international break gives us some time and space to regroup, get players back, and find who we are again. Pope: 8.5 Livramento: 7 Krafth: 7.5 Burn: 4.5[/s] 6.5 (generally solid but had some bad moments) Kelly: 6 Bruno: 7 Joelinton: 6.5 Longstaff: 7 Tonali: 7 Gordon: 5 - seriously needs to get out of this sulk he's in Isak: 6.5 Barnes: 7.5
  8. Needs must with our defence as it is. Tbf we played on the break against them last season too.
  9. Yeah I've heard that too which is part of why I was massively excited about him coming in. Monaco's league positions under him are good too. 17th and 9th before he joined, then 3rd, 3rd, 6th when he was there and 2nd after he left.
  10. It's like reading the TripAdvisor reviews for Lyle Lanley's Ogdenville Monorail tbh. Unanimous and already familiar
  11. Tbf it's not just after he left, the comments are from the first transfer window onwards.
  12. Read from page 100. Red flags everywhere. Overpaying because of acting last minute, not getting deals done, going for opportunity over team need, then posts about crisis meetings, the failures being seen on the pitch, feelings of all not being well at the club.
  13. You're likely in a social setting so I'd probably just stick with "how's it going?" and "What happened in the summer?" with zero expectation of getting anything out of it.
  14. Christ, that's not an encouraging read like 😬
  15. It should be reiterated again imo, but regardless of how you see Chris Wood, his record in the Premier League is very good and nigh on identical to Callum Wilson's. That didn't matter to too many people though.
  16. As a paid up member of the Chris Wood, Joselu and others Apologist Club, I think playing up front for us isn't easy and as a fanbase we don't give them really any time before coming to conclusions. They have to hit the ground running, look quality or have a reputation to be given leeway or accepted as anything other than shit, and if they don't have that they need to have supreme confidence to get through it.
  17. Christ that was mental like. Everton absolutely bossed it, so it's not like there were signs that was about to happen.
  18. Worst thing about Haaland is that he basically ruins FPL.
  19. Some nice throwback posts in there referencing the Lejeune match
  20. That would absolutely ruin me if I was an Everton fan like. Just like our match at home to them last season did.
  21. Good old N-O. No one said anything approaching that, but I do think it's been more than just a bad window.
  22. Not really a strong argument in the face of the heap of potential counter evidence though is it?
  23. If the club itself was caught on the hop with our PSR situation, I'm not sure why we might have expected journalists and their sources to know any better either. In terms of not getting on board with the journalists, I get that definitely, I just think it should at least be taken on board when they're all saying the same things about the goings-on inside the club. Personally I thought Howe's press conference said more through what he chose to say and what he didn't say, than what he did. He's very good at putting across a message while towing the party line and having plausible deniability is wor Eddie. January could definitely be good like! If we're in contention around then, you'd hope they all want to right their wrongs and push on. My main concern is that there's now a power struggle at the club and if it goes tits up PIF will press the wrong ejector seat button.
  24. Yeah, it's not our opinion on Howe that concerns me.
