It was Ian W for a start, but that's also not what he said.

Paul Mitchell - Leaves Club (Hope); No He Hasn't (Edwards)

No, the story you've come up with is that the people who think there's a problem are ignoring all of this and picking and choosing what to believe and going with journalists' narratives. That's not true. The reason the people who think there's an issue think that because of Mitchell’s interview and the things he said. All of the other stuff you've brought up and are posting doesn't come into it whatsoever. For a start you'd have to have been asleep for the last 3 years to still be taking what Eddie says at face value. He's as near to a company man/politician as you'll get in a football manager. -

Nah that's (ironically) just a story you've come up with to dismiss it. People have drawn their conclusions from Mitchell's quotes in his interview. Everything else is window dressing -

It doesn't really take much intuition to see it. I think that's evident in the amount of people all saying the same things about him and what he's said. -

Whatever your thoughts on Ashworth - I don't particularly like him - Mitchell's comments were more a reflection on him than those he was throwing under the bus. I find the way people are brushing it off as nothing a bit weird tbh. -
Yeah, we tend to take issue with people who let everyone know that they think very highly of themselves. One of the best things about Britain imo.

Well this is largely the point, reputation doesn't necessarily mean quality. Ashworth was a mid table DoF until he came here too and Freedman apparently stayed because he loves Palace, I wouldn't read that much into it personally. If it's a choice between Howe going or Mitchell going it's not even up for debate imo. -

The same reputation maybe, no reason we can't get someone of the same calibre or better. -

Would much rather he be in trouble than Howe. He's come in and acted like a complete arse tbf. -
I'm 39 and understand the battle he's going through. You can tell he's always had that body waiting beneath the surface though.

Is that like their version of when Pitchfork deliberately do a terrible best of list so that it drives engagement?
-
The same people who want to keep politics out of football no doubt
-
They've been so blatantly stupid that I always have this nagging feeling that it's part of an elaborate plan to get away with it. If Boehly sells do Clearlake get away with what he's done? That's the first thing that comes to mind.

I cant agree. Ginola was a huge part in taking us from European contenders to title contenders imo. Teams played differently against us because of him and the threat he posed with goals but mainly his assists with both feet. Think I've mentioned it before as well, but he's the perfect example of stats not meaning everything as well. eg Longstaff scored more last season than Ginola did in his Newcastle career.

That's the point though, natural talent means little without hard work. That's why Robert's top in terms of actually being effective. Not that Robert worked hard in the grand scheme of things either mind.

He certainly knows where the bottom corners are

There are loads of different ways to look at it Natural talent HBA Ginola ASM Robert My favourite Ginola HBA Robert ASM Most effective Robert Ginola HBA ASM Most flair ASM HBA Ginola Robert

Was speaking to my lass's dad tonight about all this. I tend to find he's a decent barometer of these things because he's the least online person I know and he's pretty laid back - eg he wouldn't have been bothered if we'd gone down in 21/22. Anyway, he's worried about Howe's position and already doesn't like Mitchell solely over the one quote from him saying we couldn't stand in his way re England. He had no idea about the other things he'd said. -
Quite a leap between those two paragraphs. I can't speak for ON but when I did it, the idea was that it had become a habit and deleting the account would make it harder to return and that was the point in doing it, because I wasn't enjoying it and wanted to make a clean break forever. Sometimes you might just need a break but you've driven yourself to thinking you need to make big, permanent changes.

There will be arguments

I still don't know how he knew he could meg Kieran Richardson from 5 yards away
-
Yeah I'll give you that @Kilcline, it's players who've spent the most amount of time complaining to the ref (I think so far this season, but might be last season) Ding ding ding

Honestly I never get down about him being Pardew'd and let go and all that now. Frankly it was insane for him to have been here in the first place and I'm forever grateful that he was an absolute nutter. Everything else is an afterthought, because what might have been could have easily been him never coming here in the first place, rather than him being here and Pardew stopping us from being better. He was an absolute privlege to watch, him and Rafa made a few of the Ashley years much more bearable.
