  1. Hardly Ivan Toney like and his other seasons speak for themselves. Even then, of those 28 appearances, 5 of them were him coming back from injury and only playing half an hour, his ratio works out as 0.5 per 90 that season, under Steve Bruce. Stats aside I just think he was a much better player personally.
  2. Not for me, Geoff. Preferred Remy over Ba as well personally, but both also played in better teams and (somehow) under better managers than Wilson did pre-Howe. Being almost 1 in 2 under Bruce and in that team is impressive. All good players though and I do think it's between those 3 for who was best.
  3. 12 goals for a club owned by Mike Ashley, a team managed by Steve Bruce, and with an injury record that meant he only played 28 games. You have my permission to go crazy without restriction. Best striker of the Ashley era.
  4. I do feel for him a bit like. He obviously has his limitations, but his bottom line is seriously impressive and has been decent for ages. That knockdown for Isak as well man. 👌
  5. Other people are alluding to this with their posts, but I reckon it's worth remembering that Messi was regularly near the bottom of pass completion % in La Liga because he was constantly trying passes to break the lines. I don't mind failed passes when the risk vs reward is worth it.
  6. Osula or Wilson really depends on what's happening in the match. I don't want Osula coming on if we're hanging on to a lead, but I'd want him coming on if we're looking to mix things up and find a winner.
  7. At Newcastle I couldn't tell you, I never saw him play until he was already at Spurs.
  8. It's a real shame like, he was a genius. Natural ability and skill only matched (and surpassed if we're being honest) by Ben Arfa, but with the heart and determination of Shearer, and a brain and level of unselfishness that was all his own. Best player I've seen in my lifetime for us.
  9. 'Imagine someone that's a bit like a much faster, even more skillful Beardsley' is how my lass's dad described him. Completely understandable to have him as your favourite ever if that's anywhere near accurate like.
  10. Ask him who his favourite of all time is and I'd bet it's probably the same answer.
  11. Tino only playing 48 games for us is mad.
  12. Remy, Asprilla, comfortably.
  13. There's the risk of sounding arrogant, but ideally you want to go 2 up in the first half and then start thinking about working on improving our goal difference.
  14. Thought Bruno was quite lucky for the one Neesy's talking about but if that one was given then the one on him after Willock's head clash should have been given too.
  15. They could be, but I dont think they will. They have too much on their plate.
  16. When you look at it, it's hard to look past it being between us and Chelsea for 5th.
  17. Will happily take that set of results
  18. Bit OTT, he was still Bruno, just a bit knackered. A lot of the good that we did cam through Bruno.
  19. It's sad in a way like because you know his mind is still sharp as anything. What a striker he's been. To have the injury record that he's had and still carve out that career is a great achievement.
  20. Possibly worse than Cisse saying he didn't really mean the Chelsea goal.
  21. Tbf he was up against the left back that's second only to Lewis Hall in world football.
  22. Print the myth you silly Italian genius
  23. He looked absolutely shagged after 20 minutes. Murphy, Joelinton and Bruno had it as well.
