  1. I wonder if that's something Pope will have to look out for with being a sweeper 'keeper. That's twice in the last week I've seen goals like that.
  2. Isn't the whole thing with Man United not that they don't need an Arab state to compete? That their profitability can comfortably fund them to the same level as them? After all, they've had the Glazer's pilfering money out yet have still spent just as much as anyone.
  3. I'm sure you think you're being level-headed there, but it's only because you can't see the chips on both your shoulders. They've won 2 in 16, anyone would get the spotlight on them for that. Their overall record is almost identical to Leicester's. Rodgers, an FA Cup winner and Premier League runner up has had much more jip than Marsch.
  4. This is outrageous. Almost a perfect mirror image from last year.
  5. He'll have been asked about it specifically i reckon. If you ever see him as a guest on any of the many podcasts he goes on, that's how it tends to work. He gets asked if he's heard anything or what his feeling is on transfers about specific players.
  6. A familiar face around here! Hadn't realised Billy had his own channel.
  7. I think I might be addicted to looking at the Premier League table. I can't stop. Absolutely mad to think that this time last year I was doing exactly the same thing, trying to path our way to survival and now I'm trying to path our way to Champions League qualification. It's one of those things where I wish I could have known that future at the time and felt the full impact of how insane the revolution has been. It's the inverse boiled frogs thing for me at the moment, each week we're good, we perform, and we often get a result and I celebrate that on its own, but the overall position we're in hasn't kicked in yet, even though I know that it's insane.
  8. He's definitely dour but that's part of the charm. He spent most of the Southampton away match just laughing to himself every time we scored
  9. Aye, it wasn't showboating as well, it was probably the only thing to do, which is what I liked about it.
  10. It's just dawned on me that the whole 'cup or top 4?' question doesn't really make sense. We don't have a great deal of depth, but the cup is only potentially another 3 matches and we have half the season left, the answer should just be yes, both.

Fair point well made. Weird how we seemingly avoided playing down our left yesterday.
  12. It's funny like. The tribalism and lack of self awareness on boards is class, ours included. Maybe I'm more of a football friend like, but I think I like it more when I go on a board and see that there are people that get it. I remember going on that Palace forum years ago and it was sad to see so many people who were that thick and ignorant.
  13. Looking at that table, Liverpool should be much lower solely because of Robertson, he's always been aggressive, but recently he's turned into a really nasty little cunt.
  14. L.Robert and Andy1892 on there have done us proud tbf, proper shown them up as know-nothings.
  15. I'd be calling to burn down the stadium if I was a Lorient fan at the moment like. Near the top of the league and selling out to become a feeder club for fucking Bournemouth.
  16. Fergie stood by a player who literally kung-fu kicked someone in the stands
  17. The fact this is coming from Man United fans is incredible. To be that unaware of your own club's history is embarrassing.

That's where I see him playing, but I don't think he's doing that right now like, I think you could argue that Longstaff's playing that role considering the positions he gets into to score.
  19. Surprised Chelsea haven't been in for Rice like.

Considering he's a 23 year old who looks like he'll only get better, I don't think this is 'setting the bar low'
  21. Yeah, Neves makes absolute sense now. I imagine he'd cost a bomb though.

Aye Odegaard's unreal, I didn't expect it to be that player that would be unlocked like. I was expecting someone maybe nearer De Jong or even Rakatic or Modric, he's much more skillful and attacking than I was expecting.
  23. I missed the 1 in 10 bit. HBA scored or assisted at a rate of 1 in every 3.5 starts for Newcastle - far past every other player in the Newcastle squad at the time he left and on par with Juan Mata, another supposedly lazy wide player who Man United had just bought for £37 million at the time.
  24. No one treats HBA like a God without their tongue in their cheek either like. He's the very definition of a cult hero and for me the player that made a few of the Pardew/Ashley years not just more bearable, but enjoyable. What's the point if you can't enjoy it and get excited by what you're watching? Teams like Newcastle under Ashley aren't getting anywhere near an unflawed Hatem Ben Arfa, he's going to Barca or Real Madrid for stupid money, so for that reason I'm happy he was flawed. Also, for a player that's apparently achieved fuck all, he's achieved a canny bit, even if the general perception of him is that he underachieved.
