  3. Not always convincing but for all the watching through my fingers when they broke through our midfield or every deflection landed to them, they created absolutely nothing. The most pleasing thing for me was that when we went 2 up, we remembered that we're actually a really good team and looked much more confident for it. Pope: 7 Miley: 8.5 Thiaw: 9 Schär: 8 Hall: 6 Bruno: 8 Tonali: 6 Joelinton: 7.5 Murphy: 6 Wissa: 7 Gordon: 7
  4. Only issue is that it's not quicker. There does have to be a line somewhere and it is a binary thing similar to goalline technology. Get it as quick as that and that can be ticked off as problem solved
  5. Hopefully that's the bad half. Not that we played badly, just that we didn't score.
  6. The amount of times it doesn't drop our way in midfield is ridiculous.
  7. Another absolute cunt
  8. Tbf, all those times we did better than them was because they were unlucky

£20m is basically the starting price for any Premier League player under 30 and with a pulse in 2025, never mind one who has shown they have the ability to be a very good player
  10. I'd take the point if he himself hadn't been undeniably the difference between qualifying for the Champions League and not. It's all a bit cost of everything, value of nothing.
  11. You keep saying this but it's absolute nonsense. I've no idea why you keep peddling it.
  12. His contribution, starting or not has been the difference between our success and failure. We don't get the cup win without him last season imo and we definitely don't get CL football. His goals are very often the difference.
  13. They're blatantly dragging it out to increase Internet traffic. I sent them the actual mock up months ago and it's nothing like that.
  14. Some creative maths going on there including Vlachodimos when he was part of a back scratch deal with Forest. Again, no idea why you're including Barnes and undermining your own point with a successful signing. We also didn't spend anything for a year, so there's that too. We're not going to agree, I don't think your point has any legs at all.
  15. They beat us as part of a series of matches where they lost 1 in 6 (to Liverpool) beat us and Burnley at home and drew away to Man United and Brighton. It was a shit result and we should have won on paper regardless, but that definitely seems like it's when they got their new manager bounce.
  16. Pleased for Wolves, they don't really deserve to be as cut adrift as they are.
  17. Probably a bit of personal bias and wishful thinking here, but I feel like we're going to exit the era of high brow football podcasts soon. The extent to which they've disappeared up their own arses has made them unlistenable.
  18. Villa 2-1 Forest Brighton 2-0 Burnley Wolves 1-1 West Ham Bournemouth 0-2 Arsenal Leeds 1-1 Man United Everton 2-1 Brentford Fulham 2-2 Liverpool Newcastle 2-1 Palace Spurs 1-1 Sunderland Man City 2-1 Chelsea

£20m for him is obscenely cheap, but makes sense considering the time left on his contract.
  20. A nice mirror image of 1995 in a way as well. Us struggling from January to May 1995 in large part because we sold our star striker and had to relearn how to play together, then from August to December 2025 we struggled because we sold our star striker and had to relearn how to play together double Champions League qualifying and League Cup winning manager Eddie Howe suddenly stopped knowing what he was doing.
  21. You've listed maybe 10% of our transfers under Howe and 20% of the expenditure. None of the players we're in any position to call failures yet as most were signed 4 months ago and one of which has been a success and doesn't belong on your list at all. So even the players you're using as examples aren't particularly strong ones and ignore the huge list of undisputed successful signings that make up the majority. Financial mismanagement did lead us to selling Anderson, which is a shame, and Minteh, no big deal. I think we lost more by losing the two people responsible though tbh and ultimately that spending also contributed towards us getting two Champions League qualifications and a trophy.

Full episode is from 2 months ago so ignore me. Here it is anyway.

Haven't watched it yet but just spotted this.
  24. It seems to have been lost in all of this, but Lee Ryder said that it was "an hour at Burnley where it was just an onslaught" I don't think anyone who's reasonable would agree that whatever you want to describe it as was an hour.
